Why Standards Matter ⚠️

Before anyone worries—everyone in this video is fine and the groom was successfully completed with love and avoidance of punishment twards a truly amazing creature. ❤️

This video captures a very real moment that pet care professionals face. The dog shown was reacting out of fear, stress, discomfort, and uncertainty—not because he is a "bad dog."
In fact, through patience, training, behavior modification, proper handling techniques, and consistency, we have learned how to groom him in ways that greatly reduce his stress and reactions. Today, he is able to successfully complete his grooming appointments with far less anxiety and much better outcomes. He no longer grooms on a grooming table and likes to be able to lay down for the duration of the groom- we can only learn his comfort and reactions by consistently handling him- which is why it is so important to have a good relationship with your groomer and have a routine for your family.
This groom will never be about esthetics...it is about comfort for him.
Moments like this are exactly why Serenity Paws maintains such strict safety standards.
Working with animals requires quick reflexes, sound judgment, clear thinking, and constant awareness. A fraction of a second can make all the difference when protecting both people and pets.

This is why we require:

If your grooming salon is NOT doing this, then they should start risk mitigation with these requirements.
Ask your grooming salon if they drug test the individuals handling your family member, and do they work on quick reaction and handling by doing fit for duty testing.
