Congratulations Officer Arnold & K9 Officer Thor!

On May 30-31, Officer Arnold and K9 Thor participated in the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) Region 11 Certification Trials.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞!
They earned first place overall in the Patrol Dog Certification Trial, won a memorial award for the top combined score in obedience and criminal apprehension, and placed first overall in the Narcotics Detection Trial.

Responsibilities:

• Become a celebrity in the eyes of adorable dogs and cats. They'll greet you like a rock star.

• Master the art of "poop-scooping ballet" - a specialized dance involving grace, agility, and a strong stomach.

• Engage in epic battles with bath-time-resistant pups.

• Be the official treat dispenser and belly-rub expert.

• Provide emotional support for homesick furballs and listen intently to their dramatic tales of separation anxiety.

Other Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for guests.

• Monitor health and behavior, reporting any unusual changes to the team.

• Ensure all animals receive proper food, water, and medication.

• Develop biceps of steel from lifting and handling various sized animals.

Qualifications:

• A genuine love for animals.

• The ability to work in a loud environment.

• The stamina to be on your feet for extended periods.

• Excellent communication skills.

• A sense of humor and the ability to laugh off the occasional "accident".

• Previous experience in animal care is a bonus, but not required, our four legged (occasionally 3 legged) guests will train you 😜.

Life of a kennel worker 🤣

Through no fault of their own these 2 senior babies need a new home! Their owner can no longer care for them. They currently are in Vinita but can be brought to Owasso/Collinsville or to Gracieland for a meet and greet.

Cinnamon is a 10 year old pit bull mix in good health and weighs 70lbs.

Stella is a shepherd mix and missing one eye, we don't have information on how she lost her eye, she's 13 years old and has some arthritis and is also 70lbs.

Both are very sweet babies and just need a forever home to lay their heads. If I didn't have my 3 they would already be at home with me. If you’re interested please let Mike know at Gracieland at 918-852-0789.
