At 74, I live alone in this old farmhouse… but every morning, a pair of tiny paws reminds me I’m not. 🐾❤️
After my husband passed, the silence felt heavy. The house was too quiet, the bed too empty. I kept the TV on just to feel less alone.
Then one rainy evening, I heard a tiny, trembling whimper on the porch.
I opened the door and there he was — a soaked little Yorkshire Terrier puppy, long ears dragging in the mud, short legs shivering, big eyes looking up at me with quiet hope. 😢🐶
I wrapped him in my cardigan and brought him inside. I told myself it was only temporary… but I named him Toby anyway.
That first night he slept in a box beside my bed. Slowly, he grew into his long body and floppy ears, following me everywhere with his signature sausage wiggle. 🐾💕
The silence changed. It wasn’t empty anymore — it was shared.
Now Toby waddles behind me all day, rests his head on my knee, and every night he carefully climbs onto the bed, circles twice, and curls up close with his long ears tucked in.
At 74, the house is quiet…
but it is not empty.
And neither am I. 🏡🥰

Good morning, from dirty dogs, dog grooming. I have a customer mother pass away. And he's looking for a home for this. Shelty, she's really confused and he's going to take her to a shelter, so I thought I'd post it, so if we can get any luck to find Her a home.
