With the new year coming up, we’ve been talking about some new things we’d like to bring to Groomers Corner! 🐾

We’re planning on adding things like customizable grooming packages, letting you choose your pet’s scent, seasonal promotions, gift certificates, and a few other ideas we’ve been working on.

Now we want to hear from you!

Is there anything you’ve always wished your groomer offered? Any add-ons we don’t offer already, products, or services you’d like to see us have? Even if it’s something small or big, we’d love to hear your ideas.

Leave us a comment below! We really do read them, and your feedback helps us decide what to add next.

There are so many parts of this job that we love, but this will always be the hardest.

Today, Quincy’s mom told us this was probably going to be his last groom and hearing those words never gets any easier.

As groomers, we don’t just see your dogs once. We see them over and over again throughout the years. We watch puppies grow into seniors. We notice when their faces start to turn gray, when they don’t jump on the table quite as easily, when they need a little more time to stand or a few extra breaks. We celebrate the happy milestones, but we also quietly witness them growing old.

Most of the time you don’t know it’s the last groom until you get the heartbreaking phone call saying they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge. Other times, like today, you’re lucky enough to know. And while that doesn’t make it any less emotional, it gives you the chance to slow down, spend a little extra time with them, give them a few more kisses, and make sure they leave looking and feeling their very best.

Looking at these two pictures, three years apart, is a reminder of just how fast time goes. In their world, three years is a lifetime. Quincy has been coming to Groomers Corner for years, and we’ve been so lucky to be a small part of his life. Thank you to his family for trusting us with him all this time.

These dogs are never “just clients.” They become friends, family and part of our lives too, and saying goodbye is never easy. We’ll never stop looking forward to seeing familiar faces walk through our door, but moments like this remind us just how much of a privilege it is to care for them while we can. Thank you, Quincy. ❤️
