PLEASE SHARE! Currently fostering🩷 🐾 Meet Jasmine — The Sweetest Girl Around! 🌸

If love had a face, it would look like Jasmine’s. This gentle, golden-brown Staffordshire Terrier mix beauty has a heart as big as her soulful, uniquely colored eyes. Jasmine is only about a year old and has the perfect blend of calm affection and playful curiosity.

💔 Recently rescued, Jasmine has already overcome so much. When she was found, she had a large gash on her side — one the vet believes was likely caused by a bullet graze. Despite what she’s endured, Jasmine’s spirit shines bright, and her gentle, loving nature hasn’t faded one bit. Her wound has fully healed, and now she’s ready for the next chapter of her life.

She’s a people-lover through and through — happiest when she’s leaning against you or resting her head on your lap (she’s mastered that move to melt hearts instantly!). Jasmine gets along well with other dogs, cats, and even chickens, and she loves to go for short walks before curling up close to her humans.

She’s already learning her manners and quickly picks up on routines. Jasmine would thrive in a home that can give her plenty of love, a comfy bed, and the stability she deserves.

💛 Personality: Gentle, loyal, affectionate
🐶 Good with: Adults&kids, dogs, cats, and even livestock
🏡 Ideal home: A loving environment with time for cuddles and companionship

Come meet this sweet survivor — she’s proof that love heals all wounds. ❤️

PLEASE SHARE to help find Jasmine’s furever home

This week has been one of the hardest I’ve had in a long time. I had to say goodbye to my best friend. Many of you knew Thor was diagnosed with cancer in December 2024. Sadly, the cancer spread and his body was tired of fighting. He was a strong fighter and fought until the very end. I want to thank all of my clients who understood the times I needed to reschedule to get him to his vet. To all of you who continuously asked how he was doing, I can’t thank you enough. He will be missed so much, it’s so quiet without him here but I know he is no longer in pain and is running free. 🐶🌈🤍🐾

Due to high outdoor temperatures and extreme heat warnings, there is a chance your dog’s grooming appointment may be rescheduled to another day

It could reach 100 degrees in the Hudson Valley this week.

It has only reached 100 degrees twice on record during June in Poughkeepsie, which hosts one of the Hudson Valley’s longest-running weather stations. It’s possible that this threshold for extreme heat will be reached this week — on Tuesday — for the first time since July 2011.

The key ingredients will be in place: a hot air mass, full sun and no clouds, and favorable winds. But one thing could get in the way: recent wet weather, including yet more rain falling early Sunday. Moist grounds increase the amount of energy needed to heat the surface compared to dry ground.

100 or not, it’s going to be hot.

An extreme heat warning is in effect for the Hudson Valley from Sunday through Tuesday, with the National Weather Service writing that heat indices may reach 110 degrees and that the potential for heat-related illnesses is significantly increased.

Triple digit heat will broil areas from Boston to Atlanta, with temperature records expected to fall in major East Coast cities — by day, by night, and in terms of the number of consecutive 100 degree days during the month of June.

➡️ The week ahead

The extreme heat won’t last in the Hudson Valley. Late in the week, the region will be along the periphery of the dome of heat — in the zone where showers and thunderstorms often track. This makes graduation forecasts more uncertain, though things should become clearer during the week.

Monday: sunny with record-breaking temperatures and extreme humidity

Tuesday: chance for 100-degree heat with sizzling sunshine and high humidity, an afternoon breeze developing

Wednesday: remaining hot and humid with a PM shower or thunderstorm possible

Thursday: partly sunny, very warm, and humid with widespread PM showers and storms possible

Friday: cooler with clouds and a chance for showers

Saturday-Sunday: humid with a chance for a shower or thunderstorm on both days

For those planning graduations and parties, the forecast from Friday through Sunday will become clearer throughout the week.

Looking ahead to the week of June 30, high humidity, showers, and thunderstorms are expected to continue along with some hot days.

Stay 🆒 this week! ✌️

Today is National Rescue Dog Day!
This day is observed annually on May 20th. It's a day dedicated to raising awareness about the many dogs in shelters and rescues who are waiting for their forever homes. The day encourages people to consider adopting a rescue dog rather than buying from a breeder.

⭐ Our available dogs are Rosie, Khaleesi, Sunny the puppy and Wednesday the puppy.
If you would like to learn more about any of these pawsome pups, message below or fill out our adoption application:
