Alert for Cuyahoga River Water Trail paddlers! There is a dangerous strainer in the main channel of the rapids downstream of Lock 29. It is parallel to the flow of the river and can be difficult to see from upriver. Scout the river before you launch by walking north on the Towpath Trail. Remember to check river conditions before you go. River water temperatures are still in the 40s.
