Pinellas County Friends:
The Meals on Wheels organization I volunteer for is in critical need of volunteers.
I’ve been a volunteer for about 10 months and love it. I touch a life with every meal i deliver. Please take a moment to read below. Jamie
Give One Day a Week, Make a Lifetime of a Difference
Too many of our county's elderly suffer from loneliness and poor nutrition. Be a part of the solution by delivering food and friendship to older adults in your neighborhood. You can join us by completing an application on the volunteer page at Neighborly.org. Social isolation and hunger can lead to severe health risks, including a higher likelihood of dementia, heart disease, and stroke, along with mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Neighborly Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver more than nutritious meals; they deliver the smiles and hope that improve lives. You'll deliver to a handful of folks from a site near you. It only takes one to two hours once a week, every other week, or once a month, at lunchtime to make a huge difference. At this time, we have a critical need for volunteers in Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg.
For more information, click here to go to our volunteer page: or click this link to go directly to the application: Volunteer Application.
(Application is required prior to attending orientation)
Thank you for all of the ways you provide help to our neighbors.
