I am a certified dog stylist with over 23 years of experience and continuing education in the dog grooming industry. I have owned and operated a dog kennel, mobile business, tiny salon, large storefront and am now in 2024 in a quiet studio offering one on one grooming specializing in dogs under 50 lbs. All dogs are groomed straight through one at a time with 100% focus on your pup and their groomi

ng experience. It is my goal to build a relationship with your dog to earn their trust to make their groom experience as relaxed and fun as it can be for them. I truly love dogs and enjoy working with them. Hope to meet you and your pup soon!

Just FYI moving forward please plan on a minimum of 2 hours per dog for your dogs grooming appointments.

This has become an REAL issue. People run late, dogs are matted, need medicated baths, have fleas, I might have to answer the phone, a dog may have an accident on the table and step in it and need to be rewashed and redried, dogs may be having behavioral issues, dogs may have arthritis and need to sit or lay down. ALL of these things take extra time.

Then clients are texting me wanting to know if their dog is done yet or have another question. If I’m texting you back, I’m not grooming your dog. So now, the fact that we are texting while I have your dog means the groom is going to take even longer. Because I have now secured your dog on the table, turned off clippers or set down my scissors and the phone is in my hands instead of my grooming equipment. This adds more time to the grooming process.

I am one person, offering one on one straight through grooming. I’m trying to give your dog a stress free quiet grooming experience as quickly as I safely can.

I realize everybody’s very busy, we are all trying to do 10 things. But, I can’t go any faster, nor do I want to. I didn’t get into this business to rush through my appointments with the dogs. That is one of the reasons I closed my large Largo shop 3 years ago. I didn’t want to groom at that pace anymore. I missed the one on one time with my clients.

If you need a faster groomer I understand, I can refer you to other grooming salons. Thank you for understanding.

Just a few random things for my existing clients & new clients:

Existing and New Clients:

* Please do not walk your dogs on or across my neighbors lawns. The County rules for me to have this business is "no foot traffic/curbside only". It's fine if you want/need to get out with your pup when you arrive and let them have a quick potty break, but please stay on my property.

*If you do choose to get out of your car when you arrive to give your pup a potty break, please do not approach my front door, walk onto my front porch, or walk around the front lawn/in front of the garage door talking on your cell phone. The Studio is completely separate from my home so there's no need to be on the porch or by my front door. I try to maintain a quiet/calm grooming atmosphere. The cell phone talking in front of the garage door/on the front lawn can be heard in the Studio. Both scenarios set my personal dogs and my grooming clients dogs off which can be stressful to all.

* Please do not turn your car around in my neighbors driveways. I have a double width concrete driveway. Please turn around in mine or you can go out either end of Lakewood Drive.

* Please plan on rebooking your grooming appointments ahead of time if you want to get your dog in the Muddy Paw grooming schedule. Most of my existing clients do rebook. But, some of my newer clients want to wait. I understand it's hard to book ahead with busy schedules etc. I am very blessed as the Studio's schedule has filled with new clients and previous clients coming back over the past year. Recently I have experienced non rebooking clients being frustrated when they've been unable to get back into my schedule because of needing grooming "ASAP". I am one person. I offer one on one expedite grooming (meaning the dogs are groomed straight through). There is no "squeezing" your dog into the schedule.

New Clients:

* I am currently only able to accept new client dogs under 40 lbs. Weekday afternoons are my only current new client openings.

* I am no longer accepting new behavioral dogs. Behavioral meaning your dog has previously bitten/been kicked out of other grooming shops, needs to be muzzled or is not friendly with strangers. My existing behavioral dog clients tend to refer other behavioral dogs to me because I was/am able to groom their dogs who were deemed "ungroomable" by their previous groomers. And as much as I appreciate word of mouth/client referrals, it's just not worth the risk anymore. I am coming up on my 25th year anniversary in the dog grooming industry and because of my love for dogs and rescue background I have spent a good part of my career working with and grooming a lot of behaviorally challenged dogs. I have recently been bitten twice by new client dogs. I now work alone and cannot risk being injured.

Thank you to all my amazing clients, some of you have been with me 20 + years. I appreciate you and love your dogs.
