Doing these shows this year has brought such growth to all the students! It's crazy to think that we are heading for another next weekend and only one more in October! We are doing these shows again next year and adding on more🤯😍
We also do lessons through winter...want to get some lessons in to be ready to ride next spring?

Well all good things must come to an end at some point and today (Sat. 8/29) is the end of the 4M Sweet Corn for the 2026 season! 🌽

Bailey says "Stop by 713 Bailey Rd and purchase some Home Grown Sweet Corn & Backyard Bouquets I helped my Momma arrange" ... lil Karly helped too but she prefers to steal the flowers and run 🤦‍♀️ 🐾

So you want to sign up for horse lesons..I'm Going to Let Your Child Struggle...

When your child comes for horse lessons. I’m going to let them struggle sometimes.
You too, adult students...
They may have never fastened a buckle on a piece of tack. A saddle might be heavy and awkward. Their lead rope may be a tangled mess. And something that would take me ten seconds might take them five minutes.

I’m not going to immediately step in and do it for them. *Unless its a safety issue.*

Because someday, I want your child to walk into the barn, catch their own horse, tack up, and head out feeling completely confident in their own abilities.

Why?

Because they’re learning that they can do hard things.

So yes, I’ll help when something is beyond a child's physical ability. I’ll encourage, demonstrate, and keep them safe.

But when they *can* do it? I’m going to give them the time to fumble with the buckle. Untangle the rope. Try again. And figure it out.

Parents, I know watching that can be hard. You’ll want to jump in and make it easier.

But sometimes the greatest gift we can give a child is not making the hard thing easier.

It’s standing beside them long enough for them to discover:

“I can do this myself.”
Thats the true goal i wish for all students🥰

Such a cool read! Adhd is a superpower when it comes to riding horses in my opinion!

Why does your brain seem to get quieter the moment you get on your horse?

For riders with ADHD, the saddle can sometimes feel like the one place where everything suddenly clicks.

The to-do lists. The unfinished thoughts. The constant mental noise.

Gone.

And while horseback riding isn't a cure for ADHD or a substitute for clinical treatment, researchers are beginning to explore why movement, sensory input, focus and the human-horse connection may help explain what so many riders have experienced for years.

Riding requires you to be present.

You have to notice your horse's movement. Adjust your balance. Respond to subtle changes. Make decisions in real time.

Your brain can't be everywhere else when you're communicating with a 1,000-pound animal.

Maybe that's part of the magic of the saddle.
