Trying to make this little slice of NC a better place. If you know much about small nonprofits…it’s a whole lot of heart and a whole lot of work! Every donation that comes in encourages us to keep going. Every dollar literally matters.

The small nonprofits start with a vision and dream and after work, sweat and tears it becomes a reality. It took people saying yes before a program existed or a facility was built. Faith in God, Faith in People and Faith in the calling is what it required. Faith that Jesus is leading and a faith that requires trust, bravery and truly a leap of faith.

Riverside Ranch is a Christian 501c3 nonprofit in Clayton, NC. Dirt and a dream, a God given vision. A miracle. A place of God’s presence. A place of community, encouragement, love for one another and horses!

Our mission: Sharing Christ's love by supporting individuals with special needs and those navigating grief through community, interaction with horses, and engagement with nature.

We started in 2018 by going to Nursing Homes to offer grief groups and crafts, connection and realness. We opened our facility in 2020 when the world was shutting down. God said Open. We shouldn't have made it and barely survived BUT GOD…we thrived. We built, we grew, we made an impact.

Now our facility, program and retreats have been going strong for over 6 years. Praise Jesus! All things really are possible with God.

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is this Friday. It’s humbling to feel people’s support in such a big way. We appreciate everyone who continues to support us and give their time, talent and treasure.

God Bless you in Jesus’ name!

Our horses Beau, Bear and Benny say hello! :)

How does Riverside Ranch make an impact?

“Riverside Ranch has been a blessing to our family for well over 6 years now! Our daughter came during the COVID craziness and after a near fatal sickness. Riverside was an escape from lockdown and healing for her mind and body. Since then she has continuously found Riverside as a place of refuge as she grows into adulthood. There is no place she’d rather be than on the land with the horses.”

Why does Riverside Ranch exist?

Quote from a participant of our grief group day retreats❤️🙏

“Sarah and Andrea provided a safe and welcoming atmosphere during my retreat day. Riverside Ranch reminded me of the Carolina Mountains and I enjoyed being outside where I connect with God and my loved one most. “

Our Mission to serve our community:
Sharing Christ's love by supporting individuals with special needs and those navigating grief through community, interaction with horses, and engagement with nature.🙏❤️🐴💔

We had our Fall women’s grief group day retreat today. God held off the rain for the majority of the time. It was a beautiful fall morning/afternoon at the ranch.

We are humbled to support individuals who are grieving.

The Holy Spirit collects every tear. God is our comforter.

We enjoyed time together, time in nature, time with the horses and shared a meal together.

Thank you to Andrea Eaves with Into the Light Counseling for helping co lead our retreat.

God is so faithful to meet us in our sorrows, loss, grief and heartache. He catches every tear and our pain matters to Him, so much that Jesus died on the cross for all our pain, suffering and losses.

We are thankful, humbled and honored to walk with those navigating grief. We held our Horse Loss Grief Group Day Retreat today. It was a safe space to be real about grief in community and to share about the grief of losing a beloved horse with one another.

God gave us a break in rain for time to spend with our horses. We are also very thankful for the rain for our farm that did come!

Thank you to Andrea Eaves with Into the Light Counseling for helping us co facilitate this retreat. Thank you to Hayes Barton United Methodist Church for helping sponsor this day retreat.

Hebrews 6:19

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inter sanctuary behind the curtain.

Jesus you are our Hope and anchor for our souls. Hold our hearts and let us see you everyday.
