Dear Lucky Paws Pack... We need your help.
Normally we do not respond to these kinds of things publicly, but we are just tired of this.
Below are photos of Pebbles and an angry message from her owner, Veronica Garcia and her boyfriend Travis Curtis, who brought her dog to daycare yesterday. Her message is full of complete lies. She also used her friends to leave multiple negative reviews on our Google profile.
In summary, she brought her intact female dog in heat to daycare with a diaper on to prevent her from being mounted. We told her we would do what we could, and let her know if there were any problems.
And there were no problems. Pebbles was having a great time playing energetically with the other dogs, and being cared for by the multiple staff here at the time. At one point, the dogs did what dogs do, and playfully pulled her diaper off like it was a toy and tried to play with it, at which point our staff intervened. This client saw this on the we**am, and angrily picked up her dog just over an hour after dropping her off. She accused the staff of not caring for her dog, just "sitting on their phones" neglecting the dogs.
I asked the team that was "not caring for the dogs" if they had any photos of Pebbles. Immediately I was sent over 30 photos of her from multiple people, all captured within just one hour of her being there. You can judge for yourself if she appears to be being watched and cared for, or neglected and in distress.
Much of what the staff does on their phones is take photos of the dogs to post to our website daily for doggy parents to see their precious pups while they are away. We also use our phones to communicate with each other because it is very loud and we are all spread out throughout the facility. Staff who is not even working that day are often contacted for information from previous days. We do that while out with the dogs, monitoring and caring for them. Often staff working the front take their lunch breaks back in the daycare area, just to be there for the dogs.
For that, we get judged, and negative reviews online full of lies and smears, and reported to the Department of Agriculture, among other threats and accusations.
It is unfortunately not the first time this kind of thing has happened, but it is the first time we are speaking out about it and asking for your help.
We are asking any clients who feel they could leave us a positive review on Google to please do so. It really helps new clients get a clear picture of what we offer here, instead of just hearing from disgusting people like this who jump to conclusions and make false and damaging accusations. We are not perfect, but we always put the dogs first and work very hard to provide the best care possible for every pet that visits our facility.
Thank you to all who have supported us over the past nearly 17 years here. We hope to have many more.
Eric, Karen, and the Lucky Paws team.
Here is a link to leave us a review on Google. This is where most people discover us. Thank you!
