Jack is training to be a therapy dog and that’s no easy feat! Therap dogs must have a very calm personality, be sensitive to people’s emotions and have the intelligence to do some high level training. Jack thankfully has all of these and is well on his way. His one flaw is that he LOVES people, he can’t help but try to give them hugs and kisses when they come close. We’re working on it! Great job Jack!

Congratulations to Bella and her owners on completing their obedience training! Bella’s success was measured in progress rather than over all skill. A few weeks ago we would not have been able to have such control in a public setting. She has come so far in the past few months and her owners are now equipped with the skills and knowledge to take her training the rest of the way! Great job everyone!

We’ve had a number of clients working in reactivity lately! Thankfully, Shelby is a mild case compared to others and she is always camera ready! If your dog is reactive then follow the steps:
1. Create distance 2. Regain control 3. Move closer or move on past the trigger 4. Repeat!

This year I have been working hard on expanding my knowledge and it’s paid off! I am pleased to announce, that by the grace of God, I have passed my exams and have become a certified service dog trainer with Animal Behavior College! Big things are coming this summer because of this achievement! We are planning to expand services to include service dog and therapy dog programs. We are going to redo our website and even add another trainer to our roster! Thank you all for your support over the years. I will continue to learn all I can and become the best trainer I can be will the help of our Lord, Jesus Christ!

Our Friend of the Month for May is Luna! This girl is a large 10 month old puppy with energy for days. She lives in an apartment complex with limited space to run around. It’s majorly important that we teach owners of large breeds how to mange energy and walk on the leash from an early age. A big rowdy dog can give a bad name to the whole dog loving community. Well done to Luna’s owner Kimberly on seeking out help while there’s still time! We’ll get Luna under control in a fun, healthy way!
