🚨All mammals are susceptible to rabies.
Rabies is a deadly disease caused by a virus that attacks the nervous system. Once the outward signs of the disease appear, rabies is nearly always fatal.

👩🏻‍⚕️Not only does it affect any mammal but it is also considered 'zoonotic'. Meaning humans are also at risk of contracting the disease if exposed.

💯Rabies is 100% preventable.

💉The rabies vaccine is a core, legally required vaccine for dogs and cats in almost all jurisdictions. Puppies and kittens typically receive their first shot between 12 and 16 weeks of age, followed by a booster a year later, and subsequent boosters every one to three years.
