It's all treats around here this Halloween weekend!

Along with new fish and plants, a restock of driftwood just hit the shelf. We've got Spider Wood, Ghost Wood, and more! If you’ve been waiting for the right gnarled branch or dramatic centerpiece for your next aquascape, now's the time to check them out while selection is best!

We're not sure what's more exciting: a new plant shipment, or the new fish out of quarantine!

This latest round of fish has some incredible species we're excited to have in stock, including Red Line Lizard Tetras, Checkerboard Cichlids, Marble Hatchets, Red Neon Rainbows, Peacock Gudgeons, EB Acara, to name just a few.

The plant shipment also brought back some crowd favorites like Cyperus helferi, Hygrophila pinnatifida, Water Sprite and Java Moss. Plus, we received another round of Tropica's Cryptocoryne spiralis 'Red', one of their newest potted plants available in the US.

Very healthy Red Root Floaters available!

Floating plants can greatly aid in nutrient uptake, offer respite for fry, and provide lower light areas in the aquarium. RR Floaters can thrive under almost any lighting, but cannot handle a ton of surface agitation or humidity on their leaves.

We still have some Yo-Yo Loaches available.

These members of the Botia family are extremely social and active bottom-feeders. They use their downturned mouth and barbels to actively sift through substrates and other small crevices in search of crustaceans, worms and other small organisms. Yo-Yo Loaches are often touted as pest snail control in the aquarium, and while they will graze on some, a small group often cannot consume enough to out-compete a large infestation.

With their boisterous personalities and a max size around 5" they need tankmates that won't be intimidated by them and plenty of space within the aquarium for them to explore.

Rainbowfish are an active and flashy family of schooling of fish that come in a variety of sizes, colors and patterns. The Madagascar Rainbows featured here represent just one of the species we currently have available.

Madagascar Rainbows look especially impressive when contrasted against the driftwood and plants of nature-style aquascapes. To ensure they thrive, they should be kept in groups with a mix of males and females. Maintaining a proper school reduces shyness and allows males to display their most vibrant coloration as they compete for attention.

If you love unique fine-leafed stem plants, you have to try Tropica's 1-2-Grow! Proserpinaca palustris, known by most as Mermaid W**d.

While P. palustris is native across the Americas, Tropica's specific variant originates from an island off Cuba. It’s a bit more demanding, requiring high light and CO2 to reach its full potential, but it is well worth it! When its needs are met, the initial green saw-tooth leaves transform into intense, fiery red needle-like leaves making for an absolutely stunning plant.

Keyhole Cichlids are in stock!

Contrary to popular belief, not all cichlids are aggressive. There are many species that are considered peaceful, Keyholes being one of them. Their chill attitudes, hardiness and max size under 5 inches make them ideal centerpieces in many community tanks.

Try one for yourself, and you'll see why they have always been a hobbyist favorite!

We have 2 beautiful male Pink Dumbo Halfmoon Bettas right now. These are probably one of the most impressive looking of the fancy tail variants, but because their fins grow so large they do require a little extra care and attention.

We could just sit and watch the Pea Puffers explore their tank all day!

Pufferfish are known by many for their intelligence and curiosity; Pea Puffers are no different. They are highly social fish and adding a group to a species-only planted aquarium allows their personalities to really shine through.
