When you have a pet with health issues, finding the right combination of medicines, therapies, and food can be a real challenge. We know what’s it’s like to try to do your best for your pet. A little over 6 years ago, our rescue lab, Meadow, was suffering from terrible allergies and skin issues – sometimes the scratching was so bad that it kept us up at night. We finally found a medicine regiment that kept her comfortable and was not steroids, but it still wasn’t great. To add to our poor girls issues, she had ACL surgery and had been without fur on her back from an epidural and both of her legs for just about 18 months. It was pure luck that a friend mentioned Pet Wants. At the time the mobile delivery service was appealing as that meant we didn’t have to make a special trip to pick up a 50 pound bag of dog food, so we thought we’d give it a shot. We saw a huge difference in Meadow after just a week of switching her food and, after two months, she had no food allergies and a full body of soft beautiful fur. She remained on the medication for outdoor and seasonal allergies, but the results we seen with Pet Wants were amazing! Our experience was so great that we encouraged Joe’s parents to try the food with their dogs, Abby (Irish Wheaton Terrier) and Daisy (Aussie Doodle), and Abby’s allergies cleared up too. After that, we knew it was time to talk about opening our own franchise and offer convenient delivery of this amazing food to the west side of Cincinnati. At Pet Wants, our carefully developed proprietary pet food is slow-cooked with fresh, all-natural ingredients and made once a month to ensure that every kibble is fresh and packed with nutrition. Pet Wants also only sources the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice, and other ingredients and there’s no added sugar, no fillers, no animal by-products, no corn, no wheat, no soy, and no dye. Even if your pet doesn’t suffer from any allergies or health issues, the benefits of Pet Wants is huge. The overall health in general of your pet will be better as the food is made fresh every 6 weeks. It doesn’t sit on a shelf in a warehouse for months before being sold. All other foods are mass produced so your pets food is likely upwards of 5-6 months old before you have you have even purchased it. Pet Wants is more protein/less carbs providing more nutrition and will keep your pet full longer so they will eventually eat less. Another huge benefit is we sell by the pound, so you buy what you need and you will no longer have to buy the big heavy bags of food. This allows you to continuously feed fresh food. And, the absolute best thing, we deliver straight to your door for FREE! Your food will be delivered by a Pet Wants Cincy West employee in a logo wrapped vehicle 7 days a week. How’s that for convenience? In January 2018, we opened our retail location on Shady Lane. We feature not only fresh food but high quality and safe chews and treats as well as many other items for your pet. Think Whole Foods for Pets.
