**MISSING PET**

We received the below message from someone in our community that is searching for a lost pet. Please share and let them know if you see or hear anything.

"STILL MISSING ๐Ÿ’” Seeing the snow and bitterly cold weather is making us feel pretty desperate. The reward is now and will stay at $2000 for her return. Weโ€™re afraid she was stolen by car, transported out of our area, and, once they realize sheโ€™s spayed and chipped, sheโ€™ll be dumped. Please keep your eyes open for her wherever you are and online."

** HOWL-O-WEEN SAFETY TIPS**

It's finally Halloween week!! Here are some extra tips to keep your furry friends safe.

๐ŸŽƒ Keep sweets out of reach.
If a pet ingests toxic treats call the ASPCA Poison Control Center. (1-888-426-4435).

๐ŸŽƒ Practice Costume Safety.
Your pet should be able to move, hear, see, breath, bark, eat, drink or go potty. Restricting them will heighten stress.

๐ŸŽƒ Watch the Front Door.
The added excitement and strangers could cause even the calmest pet to try and escape.

๐ŸŽƒ Double-check pet ID's.
Ensuring that all IDs and collars and tags are correct can be a huge lifesaver if a pet goes missing.

๐ŸŽƒ Throw wrappers away.
The aluminum foil and cellophane packaging can cause intestinal blockages and vomiting. Don't leave wrappers lying around.

Have a happy and safe HALLOWEEN!!

ps. we'd love to see your pets in costume. If you'd like to share drop them in the comments.

Itโ€™s with heavy hearts that we share the news of Dr. Millerโ€™s passing.

Dr. Miller worked as a relief veterinarian at Miamitown Pet Hospital for the past few years, as well as at many other clinics in the Cincinnati area. He cared deeply for the animals entrusted to him and will be greatly missed. If you knew Dr. Miller and would like to honor his memory, his family asks that you make a donation to your favorite charity in his name.

*Heat Advisory*

Make sure you're taking extra care with your pets during these hot days. Keep them inside as much as possible. Take dogs out for activity in the early morning or after the sun goes down. Provide extra water. Putting down additional bowls in uncommon areas will prompt them to drink more often. Stay cool!

Be aware that the short nose breeds can get overheated quickly. (bulldogs, pugs, bostons, pekinese, etc)
