My 6 month old Run Around Blue “RAB” gave me ELEVEN little poppers last night!!!! The pairing was with my own Saturn, so these babies are almost fully Red Door pedigrees. There are a variety of blues and lilacs, solid and broken, as well as some REWs!!! These are going to be some beautiful babies, I expect some gorgeous fat faces, amazing fur, and broad shoulders!!! Squuueeeeee 🤩

I just can’t with these 4 babies… I think they are the cutest and sweetest lops ever born here and they are convincing their adopted dwarf Rex sister that being a lop is better 🤣🤣 Red Roost Lucy Blue x SHA Hershel 🫶🏻

This makes me so happy…. This doe is Nora… she is out of non pedigreed but full Rex parents who had great growth rates and width. Nora is the daughter of my very first Rex who actually FIT the standard, and was one of my favorite bunnies, Nutmeg. Very excited to see what comes from this, her first litter, as she is bred to another home grown buck, George.

The long awaited sallander Rex litter has arrived!!!! Daffodil had TWELVE kits about midnight. Why was I still in the barn at midnight… well, I had a feeling that one of the does due to kindle was not going to have them in the box.
Sure enough, she made yet another nest on the wire and had 8 babies about 11pm. Bc I had gone to check her, I was able to scoop them all with their mom’s nest and put into the actual box before the cats could get to them or they froze.
Then I spent another 2 hours putting up bird mesh on my stall front so that the cats CAN’T get in. Bc I was there until 2/230am, I got to experience the “Joy” of listening to the cats using the ROOF OF MY BARN as their very own football field 🙄🙄🤣
No wonder there’s no rats in the barn. The noise from the cats is enough to scare off a dang black bear….

Had to bathe and shelf these 3 holland lops the other night bc momma peed on them… why she did that? Bc I pulled the tractor out of and into the barn very near her cage. She has taken them back as well as a rex foster, so I’ll not count it against her. Great reason to do nest checks every day or even twice a day.
