Mikenda Farm is one of the largest equine facilities in East Central Florida- Offering Boarding- Lessons-Sales at our 40 acre facility convenient to the greater Orlando area. We are convenient to East Orlando, Oviedo, and the East Coast.

In order to do our share to reduce the carbon footprint we are now limiting access to
Mikenda Farm — boarders and Lesson students can only enter the facility on Monday mornings between 8 AM and noon.  We apologize for the inconvenience but we feel like this is best for the environment, wildlife and also frankly the horses have had enough of humans at this point.🐎 😒 Don’t forget to keep a picture of your favorite horse on your phone so you can remember him/her the other days of the week . Some random pictures at the farm just for reference 😏

Welcome to Florida! 🥶 Mikayla drew the short straw😂. We kept all the horses in last night -wanted to make sure we didn’t have any blanket issues due to the high winds.  Everyone got a warm water mash this morning. One water tub down , two more to go 👍 🧊 . The sun is out 🌞 but still 28° !

We’re spoiled in with usually warm winter weather so when we get this unusual cold snap it’s a shock to the system. 🥶 Really proud of the these ladies and the horses for toughing it out for lessons tonight with Mikayla. 🐎 Nobody in the seating area. Parents are all huddled in their cars with the heat on. 😂

Most of our middle school and high school IEA - Interscholastic Equestrian Association team members attended the Ravenwood IEA horse show last weekend. Some highlights: Cassidy was 2nd in both the Junior Varsity Novice on the flat and Over Fences , Chloe was 2nd in Junior Varsity Novice on the flat , Shaye was 3rd in Varsity Open 0/F , Rylie was 3rd in Junior Varsity Beginner on the flat . Congratulations ladies 👏 Our final regular show is the 17th at Premier.

Happy New Year from all of us at Mikenda Farm!! The horses were happy for the morning -and so were we - to have survived last nights barrage of fireworks 😬 - Unfortunately they continue tonight . Wish we could all decide they are not worth the stress they put on humans and animals 😔. Chilly morning with frost as well. Wishing everyone a peaceful and prosperous 2026- Year of the Horse!! .
