Bryan would never complain...but after nearly six years of building, repairing, hauling, digging, lifting, and doing just about everything at Fabled Farm by hand, his body has definitely earned some backup!

He’s turning 40 this year, has set more than 100 fence posts by hand, hauled hay and rocks in a pull cart, and moved more manure than anyone should reasonably be asked to move without machinery.

The rescue program has grown, the work has multiplied, and it’s time for Bryan to stop doing the job of a tractor without actually having one.

This year, proceeds from A Fabled Festivity will help us reach a $35,000 goal to purchase a used tractor in good condition — a critical piece of equipment needed to keep Fabled Farm running safely and sustainably.

The tractor will be used for essential daily work and will include:
Front-end loader
Bush hog (mowing and land maintenance)
Scraper (grading and driveway upkeep)
Auger for post hole digging
And other necessary attachments

A Fabled Festivity
Date: February 21, 2026
Time: 5:30 PM VIP Entrance
Location: Legacy Farms - Lebanon, TN

❤️Courtesy Posting - Meet Mac❤️
Mac is an approximately 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix with a huge heart for his people. He is deeply loyal, affectionate, and devoted to those he knows and trusts. Once you are “his,” Mac is all in.

Mac is a homebody at heart. He is not a working dog and would much rather be a snuggly couch potato than have a job to do. He loves toys, treats, brushing sessions, and relaxing near his favorite humans. He gets along well with cats and currently lives peacefully with semi-feral cats, whom he considers friends. At doggy daycare, he has select dog friends and enjoys his time there, though he can be picky about other dogs and does best with careful introductions.

Mac’s biggest need is the right environment. He is very protective of his people and home and can be wary of visitors, especially inside the house. Because of this, he would thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home with one or two adults who live a calm lifestyle and do not have frequent guests. A securely fenced yard is extremely important for him so he can enjoy outdoor time safely without relying on frequent walks, which can be challenging for him.

Mac does best when expectations are simple and routines are consistent. He is comfortable being separated in a bedroom or yard when needed and does well at daycare when his people have plans. Away from his home environment, he is often described as an “angel” by trainers, veterinary staff, and daycare employees.

He knows basic training cues (with a little Great Pyrenees stubbornness mixed in) and responds best to patient, experienced handlers who understand guardian breed traits. Part of who Mac is comes from his protective instincts, and while those traits can be managed, they are unlikely to disappear entirely.

Mac is currently on affordable daily medication for a well-controlled chronic gum issue and is otherwise healthy.

Mac’s ideal home:
• One or two adults
• Calm, low-key household
• Minimal visitors
• Secure, fenced yard
• Experience with large/guardian breeds
• No young children

This decision comes from a place of love and wanting the best possible future for Mac. He deserves a home that fits who he is, not one that asks him to be someone he’s not.

Remember kitten Neo? His new name is Zealand!

Zealand has settled right in and clearly decided that his new big brother Scotland is the best place to nap. And cuddle. And nap some more.

Scotland has been very patient about this arrangement and seems to take his role seriously as full time snuggle buddy.

Seeing these two together has been such a sweet reminder of how quickly friendships form and how special these little connections can be.

Pretty sure Zealand would agree. 🧡🐾

As we reflect on 2025, we are filled with deep gratitude.

This year brought 129 new animals to Fabled Farm. Each one arrived with their own story, their own challenges, and their own need for safety and care. Because of your support, 110 animals found loving adoptive homes and 19 became permanent sanctuary residents.

We saw a continued rise in seniors, special needs animals, and cases requiring long term or lifelong care. Rising costs and growing community need made rescue work more demanding than ever. And still, together, we kept saying yes.

Animals like Fanta remind us why this work matters. From fragile beginnings to steady progress, his journey is one of patience, persistence, and love. He is one of many lives forever changed because of this community.

As we look toward 2026, we are hopeful. Hopeful for the animals still to come through our gates and for the impact we will continue to make together.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in this mission and standing beside us through every season.

With gratitude,
April and Bryan 🤍

Excuse the photo dump...but we are celebrating Pixel's 14th Birthday today!

It is hard to believe that this sassy little girl walked into my photography studio at 6 weeks old and changed everything. I was a big dog person, but she picked me and proceeded to take over my house, my life, and the direction of my photography business. I became known around downtown Nashville as Pixel's mom and she was so loved that no one cared that she would happy p*e across the lobby when she saw a friend (I always had cleaner and paper towels in my bag for these occasions). She has been an agility star, professional model, foster pup mentor, and is currently the farm manager.

Happy Birthday Pixel Pup!

What your End of Year Donation can do - When Peebles arrived at Fabled Farm, he weighed only four pounds—small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. He was having seizures. Part of his tail and part of his hoof had been cut off. He was terrified, injured, and fighting for his life.

Because of generous supporters, we were able to say “yes” to him.

Peebles spent months receiving emergency care, specialized feeding, medications, and physical therapy. We held him through seizures, wrapped his tiny wounds, and taught him to walk comfortably again. Slowly, his body healed and his spirit blossomed.

Today, that fragile piglet is a 300-pound, joyful, unstoppable friend to everyone on the farm. He runs, plays, and flops over for belly rubs. Peebles is alive and thriving because an emergency fund existed.

This year, 129 animals came into our program. Many required immediate medical care, hospitalization, specialized nutrition, or trauma stabilization. As winter arrives, emergency cases increase. Without a dedicated emergency fund, every crisis forces us to pull from our already-stretched general budget.

That’s why we’re asking for your help to rebuild our Emergency & Special Needs Medical Fund. This fund allows us to act fast—without hesitation—the moment a suffering animal needs us.

Your gift today has a direct, lifesaving impact:
$50 – Triage supplies
$100 – Fluids and IV treatments
$150 – Lab work or blood panel
$250 – Emergency vet visit
$500 – X-rays for orthopedic injuries
$1,000 – Overnight hospitalization for a critical animal
$2,500 – Emergency surgery or ICU care

Your end of year generosity ensures the next Peebles receives immediate treatment, pain relief, and a chance to heal. You make rescue possible.
