Just a little message to everyone going to NHSRA National High School Rodeo Finals...

If you have made it to Rock Springs, Wyoming, you should be super proud of the hard work that you have put in to get yourselves here.

Take a minute to pat yourselves on the back and celebrate YOU.

Now, take a minute to celebrate the kids that are here with you.

If you don't already know, everyone around you is extremely proud of your accomplishments.

But...above this, we are PROUD of the people YOU ARE.
Everywhere we go, I hear is "what a nice bunch of kids" all of you rodeo kids are. I see all of you cheering each other on.

Being a good person and being recognized for it is a GREATER accomplishment than any rodeo award!
THIS is how YOU change the world!

Good luck to everyone, but Montana, let's kick some tail!!!

Do you like metal prints, canvas prints, or a fine art print matted and framed? What is your favorite?

I prefer the metal for most images, but I admit that sometimes a print with a matt and frame looks pretty sharp. I think it depends on the space too.

"Shorty in the Two Rein" on metal is my best seller.

"Bold" is a great statement piece and looks good big or small.

"Don't Walk Through This World Looking for Evidence That You Aren't Good Enough, Because You Will Find It" ~Brene' Brown is a great print. I can see this in an entryway hanging with fancy bridles and scarves, or in a bathroom that needs a smaller place filled. It looks great with a light wood colored frame.

Because horses are everything...
and this one is the best old man around.

We bought this horse at an auction and didn't really pay that much for him. The first thing he did was get hurt.
Eric started him and he ended up being a really good turn back horse for me while Eric worked his show horses.

Then we had kids...

He packed me with a kid in an Ergo Pack and then they grew big enough to ride in the saddle with me.
We rode in the arena, we covered mountains, and we chased cows.

When the kids were old enough to ride on their own, he packed them gathering cows, they learned to rodeo on him, but my favorite is they learned how to drag calves in the branding pen from him.

However, he did not like me roping on him in the branding pen at all. He would prance around, blow his nose, and scare all of the calves away. I would get so frustrated that I would almost be in tears, but all was forgiven when he stood perfectly still and quiet for the kids.

Now he is old and can barely walk.
I'm afraid this might be his last summer.
Growing old is out of my control, but I don't love him any less.
I sure am glad I have these pictures of him and all of our adventures together. ❤

If I haven't said it in a while...

I am so grateful for good horses,
to ride and to photograph,
good people to work for that support us in everything we do,
a cow or two to chase around,
a beautiful ranch to live on,
a healthy family,
and so much more.

I find that people, myself included, take the littlest things, which in the end are the biggest things, for granted.

I am not perfect, but I hope that everyone knows that I appreciate them and their part in my life.
