Sierra Silverado (O Chad X Padrasahn Taj) 2005 Arabian mare. My foundation mare. Unfortunately she is retired from breeding and we were unable to get a purebred foal from her to retain our family line but she is special to us for so many reasons. She is my daughter’s riding horse now as she didn’t care for ranch work but she loves kids.

Jasmine PF (Pyro Thyme SA X Burgundy PF) 2007 Arabian mare. She’s so pretty and finally starting to muscle up after being out on the range for 4 months. She’s still got a long ways to go though.

After a few hours in adjoining corrals I let Sierra in with Jazz for a few mins and they seemed so content, like old friends! After a few moments of observation I let Twister in and Jazz wasn’t sure which of the two she wanted to hang with but was much happier having them with her! They are spending the night in the corral and if all looks well in the morning I will most likely turn them out to pasture.

Sierra has always been the low man on the totom pole and never brave enough to eat with another horse, especially a mare, but within 5 mins she walked over to the bucket of feed where Jazz was eating and helped herself without hesitation and no retaliation from Jazz!

She met Twister and Sierra briefly this morning and for Twister it was love at first sight 😍 Sierra said hi and left. I put Jazz back in the corral and she was not happy. So after church I brought the other two in and put them in the adjoining corral so they could get to know each other for a bit then it was game on. More pics and stories to follow!
