It is with a very sad and heavy heart that I am announcing the temporary closure of my pet salon. Unfortunately the place I was renting no longer is doing so. My last day is apparently this Friday the 24. I am hoping to be back up and running soon. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. I have loved getting to know the community and their pets. I will be calling clients with scheduled appointments. If you have any leads on a space that is for rent please let me know.

An important reminder for us all.

A reminder going into the New Year to call your vet and check your pets vaccination records. I will be reminding everyone when booking. Even if your pet is up to date I still need a copy. Have a Happy and safe New Year!

Just wanted to give out some information on the new respiratory disease. I feel that due to my strict sanitizing policies we are safe at this time

Symptoms: Cough lasting more than 2 weeks and not responsive to antibiotics
Chronic Pneumonia non responsive to antibiotics
Sneezing/nasal discharge
Red Runny eyes
Trouble breathing
Blue/purple gums
Acute pneumonia is rare but can rapidly become severe and can lead to death in 24 to 36 hours

Prevention
Update your dogs Bordetella vaccine (every 6 months in high risk areas)
Update Distemper, parainfluenza, influenza H3N2. Vaccines do not predict but helps the pets immune system to fight it.
Do not travel to high risk areas
No contact with other dogs
No public areas like stores and dog parks
IN HIGH RISK Areas shelters, kennels, training facilities, and grooming shops are closing.

Due to the amped up kennel cough now being in the bigger cities in our state please reschedule if your dog has a cough or just is off. It is highly contagious and leads to a severe Pneumonia. All dogs must have a current Bordetella vaccine and will not be groomed if not up to date. Thanks for everyone:s understanding in this.
