Daisy has found her forever family! 🎉

This gentle, loyal Shepherd mix girl was a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’s the most devoted companion. Daisy’s road home had a few extra bumps along the way, but she never lost her sweet heart. Now she has a patient family who gave her the time and understanding she needed, and she gets to be exactly who she is. 🏡❤️

A huge thank you to the ASPCA for sponsoring Daisy’s adoption fee through the Rescue Effect Grant. Support like this helps remove barriers and gets deserving dogs like Daisy into loving homes. 🙏

Meet Arthur, an almost 4-month-old Alaskan Husky/Belgian Malinois mix with a handsome black coat and a heart full of sweetness. He’s still learning and discovering this big world, and he’s looking for a family who can give him patience, guidance, training, and love. 🧀💙 Meet Blue Cheese! 💙🧀

This 4-month-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix is as sweet as his name! With his striking black-and-white coat and irresistible smile, he’s ready to steal your heart the second you meet him. 🐾

Blue Cheese arrived with a big story for such a little guy, and his journey shows that it truly takes a village to protect and care for shelter animals. We are beyond grateful for ours!

Here is how our community came together for him:

🏥 Chico Animal Shelter intook him as a tiny pup with a fractured leg, getting him the immediate care he needed to heal.

🩺 When they discovered a potential cardiac condition needing specialized evaluation, they reached out to us, and we brought him into the Butte Humane Society family.

🚗 Following a visit to the cardiology team at UC Davis, we got fantastic news: Blue Cheese won’t need surgery! Just routine checkups with our local Veterinary Center at BHS and a quick annual check-in at UC Davis.

💙 The 15/10 Foundation generously covered his specialist visit and has committed to covering his follow-up next year at UC Davis as well!

Now, the final piece of his village is YOU.

Blue Cheese is full of classic puppy energy, he loves to explore, play with his favorite toys, and soak up all the affection he can get. At 4 months old, he’s at the perfect age to learn and grow with a family ready to guide him with patience, love, and positive reinforcement. 🐶❤️

This handsome 5-month-old grey boy with white markings is as sweet as they come, and he’s ready to kick off the weekend by finding his forever home! 🎉

Adam is a short-haired charmer with a whole lot of love to give. He can be a little nervous when he first meets new people, so he’ll need someone patient who will let him come out of his shell at his own pace. 🥹

Once Adam knows he’s safe, his sweet, friendly nature starts to shine. Sometimes the most rewarding friendships are the ones that take a little time to grow. 💕

Meet Athena! This gorgeous 5-year-old Husky mix with a stunning black sable and white coat is still waiting for her forever home. 💕

Athena is the perfect mix of playful energy and love. She adores people, makes friends easily, and thrives on attention and affection. Like many Huskies, she can get a little jumpy when she’s excited, so she’d do best with older children and an active family who enjoys daily walks and outdoor adventures.

🐾❤️Our Battle of the Businesses challenge has officially wrapped up, and we are beyond blown away by the love, generosity, and heart shown by our local business community!

A huge congratulations to our Battle of the Businesses Champion: Matson & Isom Technology Consulting! 🥳🎉 

Our three challengers went above and beyond for our shelter pets, bringing incredible energy to the drive and mobilizing our community to make an extraordinary impact. 🐶🐱

From stocking our pantry with high-need supplies to driving critical donations, their dedication to local animals in need was inspiring to watch. 

While there were bragging rights on the line, this was truly a competition where everyone wins—especially the animals in our care. Together, our participating businesses helped generate $3,500 in vital pet food, supplies, and donations for Butte Humane Society! 🎉🐾

A massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to all 3 incredible businesses who stepped up, opened their doors, and rallied their networks to care for our shelter animals. It truly takes a village to save lives, and we could not fulfill our mission without partners like you! 🙌✨

Dumplin has found her forever family! 🎉

This sweet, silly 1-year-old Pit Bull mix girl with a big heart and plenty of puppy energy has officially gone home. No more waiting at Butte Humane Society, because now she gets walks, playtime with her favorite toys, and a family who includes her in all the fun. 🐾❤️

Thank you to everyone who shared her post, came to meet her, and showed her kindness while she waited. Every share and every visit helps pets like Dumplin get one step closer to home.
