Many of our followers know the story of how Two Dogs and a Baker came to be.
When we first started, we had two dogs — a Golden Retriever puppy named Olive, and a 14-year-old Aussie Heeler mix named Wilbur. Wilbur was already up there in age, but we wanted only good things for him. Treats made with real ingredients, without all the extras.
Wilbur and Olive were our original taste testers. Olive would eat just about anything… but Wilbur was a little more particular. If he didn’t approve of a flavor, it didn’t make the cut. Because of him, we landed on the four core Pupcake flavors we still make today.
🌈 🐾 Yesterday, 12/22/25, at the incredible age of 17, Wilbur crossed the rainbow bridge. He was the best boy, our original quality control manager, and the heart behind so much of what we do.
We will continue to honor Wilbur by doing what we set out to do from the very beginning — creating treats with love, intention, and only the good stuff. Please hug your pups a little tighter today. Our hearts will forever miss our best boy. 🐾🌈
