[Or maybe just some quiet Friday night thoughts to chew on]

💎When you complete my intake form, I am creating space, love & hope for your animal within my being for as long as they live- oftentimes longer... Even if I am only blessed to encounter them one time & I never hear from you again [the exception, not the rule, but it happens].

💎I'm excited and energized to see you together & thriving- doing what you love! I feel your losses & lessons if you share them, too.

💎Your animals become my shower thoughts. And my driving around thoughts [and I drive A LOT]. If you've ever gotten a "Just checking in!" message from me, it's not because I have an automated list of follow-ups to get to or because I'm self-interested [most of my colleagues have crippling student-loan debt, we paid mine off the day before graduation]... It's because you crossed my mind or I passed your place and I am genuinely wondering how you and your animal are doing. Working with me is an investment in YOU.

💎Just because I offer maintenance when your animal is feeling better, does NOT mean there is something wrong with them. You don't need to be broken to receive chiropractic. Every professional sports team has a chiropractor on staff. Animals are athletes, are designed to move WELL & they should be treated as such. The time to get adjusted is not just when something is WRONG, but rather when things are going well & you'd like to continue as such. [I'll save this soapbox for another time.]

💎I've never assessed an animal that was completely clear of subluxation prior to adjusting. This is because no one- not even animals- are immune to the inevitable stresses of life.

💎We get lumped in with musculoskeletal therapists/bodyworkers but what we do [when done correctly by a Licensed & Certified Doctor] is SO much more profound- we use the spine as a lever to assess stress/tension/fixation/stagnation/interference [whatever you want to call it] on the NERVOUS SYSTEM which controls everything from you waking up in the morning to trying to not drop your phone on your face while late-night scrolling. It's not about twists, snaps and pops [sowwy].

💎For myself & my practice, it's about relationships. It's about understanding your goals with/for your animal and playing a small [sometimes big] part in helping you both get there.

As always, I'm endlessly grateful for the amazing multispecies community in which I am blessed to serve & the incredible humans who choose to trust me with the care of those they love most. 🐾 🐎

Equine Clients!

In the hustle of travel/holiday and the haze of allergy induced brainfog, I didn't get my June routes ironed out yet 🤧😵‍💫. Eeek!

I believe I have contacted all groups/locations to get these set at this time, however, if you have not heard from me, please reach out and we will get you on a day/route that works! As these are getting set, we are also looking into July as those dates are also filling fast. 👀👀

If you are not a current client and would like your animals seen, please reach out. Most routes have room for a couple more, but the schedule is truly filling fast. It's a hopping time of year and I want to keep everyone on top of their game 💪.

Long toes only affect the navicular right?

The leg has a series of joints. The metacarpo-phalangeal joint (fetlock), the proximal interphalangeal joint and distal interphalangeal joint (Pastern and coffin). Each one of these joints is a centre of rotation and because of how the digit is not underneath the limb, but in front off, each of these joints is profoundly affected by the distance from its centre of rotation to the point at which the ground acts through the hoof. In the form of the turning force (moment).
An increased turning force must be counteracted by whatever keeps those joints from descending under the load, the tendons AND ligaments.

Hence why long toes affect ALL of the soft tissue structures on the back of the leg. Both tendons and the suspensory!

Today, I sat down and wrapped up my first quarter since the big pivot that began 2025 for All Creatures Chiropractic. For Me.

I am filled with both relief (1 quarter in, we made it to my first milestone!) and immense gratitude for those who care so very much for their animals and honor me with the ability to be a part of their care team.

Did you know that one of the leading reasons for euthanasia in animals, regardless of size, is mobility, or really, lack of mobility leading to poor quality of life?

You see, that fact and the many related statistics you can find online, is a big part of why I have made the choices in my career that I have.

I saw, in my own boy, Scooby, back in 2006- 2007 what concervative care and rehabilitation can do. I didn’t have to say goodbye to my best boy after his injuries. We didn’t know when his mobility after those injuries would mean saying goodbye. If he would live to see me graduate high school. Or College. Or start the career his recovery opened the door to. But He Did. Mobility was not the reason we said goodbye when it came to be his time just 3 years ago at over 17 years old, despite his many poor life choices and physical injuries during his lifetime (Scooby sure was a daredevil.)

We already do not get enough time with the animal beings we love. It is always my goal to optimize both the quality and quantity of their time with us.

Moving to Cheyenne, it was my commitment to bring concervative care and rehabilitation options to animals here. To open the door to doing more than just watching pets age and treating symptoms. To make more care options to help our 4-legged family members easily accessible. Whether it is post-surgical recovery, athletic support, senior care or preventative care, there is so much we can do to support our pets through their entire lifetime. I will continue to work to make these options available to our animals here.

I owe immense thanks for the opportunity to partner with Elevate Animal Care . Their commitment to the wellbeing of animals in the Cheyenne community is second to none and I am so proud to be a part of such a phenomenal and well-rounded team.

At the beginning of the year, I had planned to be more vocal about progress as it happened, but boy it’s been busy both in practice and behind the scenes. Suddenly we are a quarter in! Time flies!

Today I look back over the first quarter of 2025 and I am simply filled with gratitude.

I am so thankful to the animal owners of Cheyenne. I can’t help your loved ones without You and Your commitment to their wellness! It is always such a privilege to be a trusted part of your family’s health care team.

Did you know this week is Pet Poison Prevention week?

Our pets can be so curious and it can lead to them consuming things from around the house that are very poor, and potentially life-threatening, choices. We chatted with our friends over at Elevate Animal Care and they shared with us some of the most common poisons or toxins they have seen come into clinics that pet owners may not know about.

It is always great to be aware of where these items are around your home to prevent your dog or cat from interacting with them.

We are at Elevate Animal Care today working hard behind the scenes!

Some of you may recognize Ricky the clinic cat! He's been on a diet and is looking svelte these days, but he wants to be both trim and strong as he ages 💪. He's learning foundation exercises to help create kitty fitness and injury recovery programs.

He says if a mostly blind kitty can learn to be fit, any-kitty can!
