🎆🇺🇸 **Stars, Stripes & Sassy!** 🇺🇸🎆

Our favorite four-legged firecracker, **Sassy**, is dressed for the occasion and ready to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July! ❤️🤍💙

As you celebrate with family and friends, don't forget to keep your furry companions safe. Fireworks can be stressful for pets, so be sure they're indoors, secure, and wearing updated identification.

🌞 **Heat Check: Is It Too Hot for Your Pet?** 🐾

Summer fun is best enjoyed safely! While we may love the sunshine, our pets can overheat much faster than we do.

Before heading outside, ask yourself:
🐾 Is the pavement too hot for paws?
💧 Do I have enough water for my pet?
🌳 Is there plenty of shade available?
⏰ Can this walk wait until it's cooler?

On extremely hot days, the safest place for many pets is indoors where it's cool and comfortable. Even a short time outside can lead to dehydration or heatstroke.

If your pet starts panting heavily, drooling excessively, seems weak, or is struggling to cool down, don't wait—seek veterinary care immediately.

Let's all do our part to keep our pets safe, healthy, and comfortable this summer. Stay cool out there! ❤️🐶🐱

🔥 **The heat isn't just uncomfortable—it can be dangerous for pets.** 🐾

With another hot day in the forecast, it's a good time to give your pets a little extra care.

🐶 Limit outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
💦 Bring plenty of water on walks and take frequent breaks.
❄️ Keep pets indoors whenever possible in a cool, air-conditioned space.
🐾 Remember that hot sidewalks and asphalt can burn sensitive paw pads in seconds.
🐱 Don't forget our feline friends—they need cool, shaded places and fresh water, too!

If your pet seems to be panting excessively, acting lethargic, vomiting, or having trouble standing, these could be signs of heatstroke. Contact your veterinarian right away—acting quickly can save a life.

A little extra caution goes a long way during extreme temperatures. Stay safe, stay cool, and give your pets an extra cuddle from all of us at Providence Veterinary Hospital! ❤️
