📢 Air Quality Update – Eddystone Residents

As of today, air quality conditions in Eddystone remain unhealthy, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 185.

Residents are encouraged to be mindful of current air quality conditions and consider limiting prolonged outdoor activities, particularly those who may be more sensitive to poor air quality.

Please consider the following precautions:

• Limit extended time outdoors when possible.
• Keep windows and doors closed whenever practical.
• Use air conditioning or air purifiers if available.
• Monitor local conditions and take appropriate precautions for yourself and your family.

Residents are encouraged to monitor local news and official air quality resources for the latest information and updates regarding current conditions.

📢 Attention Eddystone Residents

Due to current air quality concerns in our area, residents are encouraged to take precautions, especially children, older adults, pregnant women, and individuals with asthma, COPD, heart disease, or other respiratory conditions.

Please consider the following recommendations:

• Limit prolonged outdoor activities and strenuous exercise.
• Keep windows and doors closed when possible.
• Use air conditioning on recirculation mode if available.
• If you must be outdoors for extended periods, consider wearing a high-quality mask (such as an N95).
• Monitor symptoms such as coughing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, or irritation of the eyes and throat.

We will continue to monitor conditions and share updates as they become available. Please stay safe and check on neighbors or loved ones who may be more vulnerable to poor air quality.

The Eddystone Borough Office will close at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Thursday, July 2, 2026, and will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of Independence Day.

Regular office hours will resume on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Please note that SEPTA buses will be rerouted through this area; signs will be posted to guide traffic and riders....
