Good afternoon!
In light of the recent EHV-1 outbreak happening in several states we will be enhancing our bio security here at the ranch.

1) we will require all boots to be bleached before entering the facility.
2) no horses will be brought in or removed to be brought back to the premises. (Ex: jackpots, shows )
3) Volunteers if you go to a different ranch before coming to ours we ask that you go home to shower, change clothes and bleach your boots please.
4) when playing with horses here at the ranch we ask that you use the bio security wipes on your hands and boots before touching another horse or before leaving to go to another ranch.
5)trail rides we will still allow as long as no outside horses are involved. We ask that if you choose to trail ride you do not allow your horse to drink from the community trough at the park. We also ask that you avoid others while out on trail. This includes people as you do not know if they have horses or not so not allowing them to pet or interact with your horse for everyone’s safety
6) finally due to the outbreak we will be holding off on any intakes or adoptions at this time.

We will revisit this as we get further updates on the virus

We are just trying to be proactive and keep the virus from hitting our ranch!

Attention all boarders, volunteers and Sponsors
Currently the ranch is a muddy mess. So at this time no small vehicles can come on the property we don’t want you getting stuck.

We are a muddy mess but I want to thank the volunteers that came out today and helped.
Brenda and Cindy your help this morning was wonderful and Katie thank you so much for helping me drain off pens and feed this evening!

We have been crazy busy at the ranch! Weather has been a little warm but perfect for working the horses. We love our volunteers and our foreign exchange students!
Saw this for sale and thought this would be amazing on the ranch. Unfortunately he wants 2500 for it which it is totally worth since he just put 2000 worth of brand new batteries in it.
Thoughts and ideas on funding something like this?
We can wish can’t we 😃

I am a lesson horse.
I am a horse that isn’t as recognized as the top hunter jumpers, the best western pleasure horse, or the 1D barrel horse, I am a lesson horse. I am the backbone of the foundation to do all of those things. I am a lesson horse.

I am not loved by one person. I am loved by several people. I don’t have my person, I have my people. I am a lesson horse.

I will teach your child and yourself more than just to ride. I will bring your child out of their shell. I will teach your child about life. I will be yours and their shoulder to cry on. I am a lesson horse.

I will bring my family the joy of teaching kids. I will bring my families business growth. I am so loved by my family, even if they don’t express it everyday. My family allows others to show me love and enjoy me. I am a lesson horse.

At the end of your childs’ journey on a lesson horse, they will out grow me. They will find one that jumps higher, a horse that is show quality, a horse much faster than me. But, I will never outgrow being a lesson horse. I will be the one that loved your child and helped your child grow into the rider and person they are. I am a lesson horse.

At the end of my time as a lesson horse; I will be covered in grey hair. Each grey hair came from each hour I spent as a lesson horse. I will be in a field of green grass, I will be taken care of as I was when I was a lesson horse. I will watch your child from across the pasture love her new horse. But, I will love your child more than any horse can. I will be the backbone of the business, the family, and your child. Don’t forget about me, I am a lesson horse.
