We lost the fight with colic today with Snapps. He fought hard for 5 days. Our vet felt it was time to let him rest. Only 6 years old. Laid to rest with his daughter Misty. They will for ever be missed.

Top is day it happened Bottom is about 48 hours later.
Vet recheck on Monday he thinks it is healing very well. I forgot to take more pictures. I will take more pictures at recheck on Wednesday. All in all it looks great and he is the best patient !

Well Somkie decided jumping a fence was a good idea. Thankfully his joint and tendons seem to be ok. It looks worse than it is.
We will be going daily wrap changes for weeks but he should be fine.
Anyone got box of vet wrap lol
Looks like a jumping career is out of the question. The fence was only 4 foot lol

With a heavy heart we had to let Misty go last night.
Born April 4 2025 in my arms in the middle of a rain storm. We named her Misty. The best baby i have ever worked with. Always first to come up for pets. Freak accident being the wild child in the the front pasture and broke her leg. After our vet explained that even with surgery there would be no guarantee she would be pain free or sound the decision was made. Run free my wild child you will be missed but never forgotten!
