OUR MISSION
To give families facing Autism a safe place to go, where no one will look at them funny if their child doesn’t speak or is melting down several times a day. To give them a beautiful, peaceful setting out in the country with a few horses out in the fields, a playground for the kids, a stocked pond in which to fish, and a cute little two bedroom cabin with a full kitchen. 🌞🍅 Tomatofest KidZone was an absolute BLAST!! 🍅🌞

We are so grateful to all the amazing volunteers and groups who made this year’s event truly unforgettable! Huge thanks to the Elijah’s Retreat Staff and Volunteers, Jacksonville Fire Department, First Tee, Jacksonville Lions, Spectrum Solutions, Therapy 2000, Maggie Moo, and the incredible NHS Students!

It was a fun (and hot!) day filled with smiles, laughter, a petting zoo, inflatables, barrel train rides, bubbles, and so much more! 🐐🎈🚂🫧

We're rolling out the red carpet for our Special Stars in an unforgettable weekend of baseball! This incredible event is designed to give athletes with special needs a true taste of the game.

🔥 Friday Night Skills Camp – Players will build confidence, sharpen their skills, and get game-ready.
⚾ Saturday & Sunday Tournament – Each athlete will play three games, with everyone competing in a Championship Game on Sunday!
🎽 Every player receives a hat and jersey to look and feel like the all-stars they are!

🏆 Special Awards Include:

📸 Our social media team will be there all weekend, highlighting these amazing athletes and capturing memories to last a lifetime!

Our Story

Located in the Beautiful Piney Woods of East Texas, Elijah’s Retreat strive to create a peaceful setting that nurtures attachment for Families Facing Autism through outdoor adventure and the interaction with therapeutic animals. We provide comfortable cabins and numerous indoor and outdoor activities for families to see the world through their child’s eyes.


  • Play Area – One Acre Fenced in Playground with Swings, Slides, Rope Climbing, Sand Box, Zip Line, Tire Swing, Music Room and plenty of Room to Run.

  • Outdoor Family Activities – Families can go on a Barrel Train Ride, Fish in the Pond, Ride Bikes, Roast Marshmallows at a Bonfire, go on a Hayride and Hike along 3 miles of Forested Trails.

  • Ranch Hand Adventure – Families help feed Chickens, Horses, Ponies and Rabbits. The Ranch Hands can Hand Feed the Nigerian Dwarf goats and hold the babies. They can hold Rabbits and gather Eggs from the Chickens.
