The shelter adoption hours are:
Monday - Friday 9am to 4pm
Saturday 8am to 12pm
Sunday by appointment only. The Jacksonville Animal Shelter is open and can only take stray animals from Jacksonville, Texas residents and the strays can only be from inside the City Limits of Jacksonville. You will need to contact the shelter as soon as you locate a stray. Let Animal Control know and they will come ou
t and pick up the stray and attempt to find their owner if possible. If you bring a stray in, you will need to bring identification and a utility bill showing that you reside in Jacksonville. Please have them with you when you come, you will not be able to leave the animals without correct documentation. We look forward to working with the public in getting animals back to their respective owners and homeless animals to their forever homes.
