Brought Miss Foxy Moxie out for the weekend nine weeks after whelping a litter. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and was awarded an OH Sporting Group 1!

Run free, Merlot. Thank you for being a constant in our life and a big part of our breeding program, but most of all bringing us so much joy.

Merlot was Shane’s heart dog from the beginning, his first dog he put a hunt title on and his side kick wherever he was. I’ll always remember you talking to us and demanding your Merlot Tax from everyone during meal times….it was difficult to tell her no!

I hope you’re with your mom, Maddison running in the bird fields and getting all the love and attention from your human Grandma, Randa.

Rest easy our sweet girl, we’ll always remember you 💔

Emily and Gordon certainly have become a team! She’s dedicated herself to training in both the show ring and the field. Her first priority has always been making sure it’s fun for Gordon as a puppy. She’s so excited about doing all the things and will be attending her first ABC Summer Specialty in CO next month. Way to go, Emily and Gordon!

The triplets are six weeks old today! Tomorrow they’ll go on a car ride and this weekend will get their first trim.

I've had time to reflect on this past weekend. My brag isn't necessarily about the dogs in my home; it's about the dogs that I've bred, and they're living their best life with some incredible people.

Each one of them made me proud of their accomplishments, big or small. To see a smile on their face is a win for me, because at the end of the day, we all bring home the best dog because they're our pets. I certainly hope that my mom would be proud of how I'm doing and the direction that I'm heading in my breeding program.

Thank you for being part of the Black River family; we're proud of you all!

Results from this past weekend!

CH Black River's Touch Of Gold 'Kayce' (Merit x Moxie) was Best In Sweepstakes at the Oregon Brittany Club Specialty, Select Dog x 2, and finished the weekend at the Clackamas Kennel Club Show going Best Of Breed. Kayce was expertly handled by Shea and Tiffany Skinner and is owned by Tom and Sandy Sterken.

Black River's Written In The Stars 'Blair' (Merit x Moxie) was Best Of Opposite S*x at the Oregon Brittany Club.

Black River's Mis Behavin' 'Allie' (Merit x Moxie) was RWB at the Oregon Brittany Club Specialty and BOW at the all-breed show. She was expertly handled by Terri Erickson and is owned by Sherry Palmer and myself.

River's Gordon Simms Esquire 'Gordon' (Garth x H***y) was RWD and Best Puppy at the OBC Specialty, WD x 3 at the all-breed show. On Saturday, he ran in a field trial prior to coming to the show! He's owned by Emily Robey.

Black River's No Apologies Needed 'Morgan' (Journey x Fergie) was awarded Beginner Puppy Sporting Group One!

GCHB Trio’s The Glamorous “Fergie” (Mustang X Eliza) was SB X 2 and BOS at the all breed show. Owned by me, Clint/Karen & Landon Livingston.
