Good Boy Igo 💙

Last night, one of our deputies attempted to stop a motorcyclist for a speed violation. Instead of complying, the suspect fled — reaching speeds of over 120 MPH.

K9 Igo and his handler joined the pursuit to assist. The chase took a turn when the motorcycle blew a rear tire, forcing the suspect to continue on the rim, drastically reducing his speed.

In a final attempt to escape, the suspect drove off-road into a wooded area but collided with a fence. Despite multiple commands, the suspect failed to comply. K9 Igo was deployed and successfully apprehended the individual, who was taken into custody without further incident.

We're proud of the teamwork and professionalism displayed by our deputies and K9 Igo.

Yay Mac!

Today south county deputies responded to a protection order violation in progress. It was reported the suspect was at the residence and then fled on foot into a nearby field. Deputies quickly set up containment and called K9 Mac from home to come assist in locating the suspect.

K9 Mac arrived and quickly got to work. Mac tracked through the field to a near by river bank where he located the suspect and his tent. After a few barks from Mac the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Early this morning,
K9 Manny and his handler responded to assist Grays Harbor Deputies to track a burglary suspect who had fled on foot after being pursued in a stolen vehicle by a Elma Police Officer.

K9 Manny tracked through very thick woods for over an hour. On the track, K9 Manny located the suspects jacket. K9 Manny continued tracking and was right on the suspects tail. With K9 Manny on the suspects tail the suspect came out of hiding and ran right into a Washington State Trooper who was sitting on perimeter.
