This cute girl came in on Sunday last week. She’s here to learn to bend and get soft. She was struggling to pick up the right lead but that’s ok she’s got a good counter canter so I went with it!

I rode Nugget in the big arena this week. She found her fast button with more space. Working on slowing her back down now that she got her feet in the big arena! She was so good tonight! She’s coming along very well!

This big boy is Woody, he lives with Seamus. Seamus went home Tuesday and Woody took the rest of his month. He’s learning to lope and go out on more trails!

I took Ellie (my personal horse) to another ranch show this weekend at a pinto show. She’s really coming along well with the ranch! We won championship for open pinto ranch horse.

I got the final overall score from my challenge!!

At the challenge I had placed 5th overall. Some of placings at the end got corrected which led to different overall placings. I got the updated overall tonight!

Out of 16 mounted and 13 that rode at the challenge, Chevy and I placed 3rd overall!! I am so proud with this boy! With just over 90 days under saddle and 4 shows to prepare for this challenge, he blew me away! This challenge was a huge accomplishment for me and my training! Every thing I’ve been learning this year with Ellie has been paying off!

Chevy is getting some well deserved time off and will soon get back to work for our last show of the year in October!

This girl is my last year’s challenge filly. She came back to me no fault of her own. I took her out today and worked with her. She remembers everything I taught her last year! We were reserve champions for in hand last year at the challenge!
