A big thank you to Mike Evarts for bringing donated hay and Ku**er Farms for unloading it today. This is pivotal in allowing us to continue caring for the evacuated horses in our care.

The fires seemed to have slowed down a bit recently, but if things pick back up, we will continue to care for as many horses as we possibly can. We are so proud of this community and thankful to everyone who has reached out to offer a hand or supplies. Thank you! ❤️🐴❤️

We have 13 pens available for those with horses needing evacuation. We will continue to update our availability on this post as the situation changes.

*if you are able, bringing a water bucket is very helpful to continue to accommodate as many horses as possible. We have donated hay to feed.*

Our address can be found easily on Google. If you are able to contact us before you come, that is ideal. If you are in a pinch and can’t get ahold of us, please come and we will take care of you when you get here.

We have put up extra temporary pens. We currently have availability for 5 more horses but can take more if they can be turned out together. Please call before you come if you can 509-951-0625 or send us a FB message if you can. If not, we will help you when you get here. Stay safe.

Update: New pens are up for those that have to evacuate late. Message us if you need a place to take your horses. We have room for at least five. More if they can be penned together.

Our temporary pens are nearing capacity, but we are making a supply run for additional fencing supplies. We should have availability for a few more horses within a couple of hours.

Yesterday was a whirlwind, but we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their patience and support.

We did our best to return messages and get back to everyone who reached out. With the power out, our priority was making sure every horse on the property had access to fresh water and was fed before dark. We are incredibly thankful to have our water truck, which made a challenging day much more manageable.

We know we were difficult to reach. Our home relies on power for our signal booster and Wi-Fi, so without electricity we had no reliable way to communicate. Once we got our generator running, we were able to power our Starlink and leave our phones at the house while we continued caring for the horses.

At this time, we still have six 12×12 temporary pens available, and if absolutely necessary, we can also accommodate horses in our arena or round pen on a temporary basis.

Looking ahead, we expect to have a limited number of openings in our private paddocks for long-term boarding availability. We know so many horses—and families—were displaced yesterday, and our hearts go out to everyone affected. We truly hope everyone found a safe place to land.

If you have an evacuated horse staying with us and haven’t checked in yet, please contact Dan at 509-951-0625 when you have a chance.

Finally, thank you to everyone who showed up to help move horses, haul water, feed, and lend a hand however you could. Thank you also to those who kept us fed and hydrated while we worked. It was a long, hectic day, but it reminded us just how fortunate we are to be part of such an incredible horse community.

We’re grateful that everyone here is safe, and we’re wishing the same for all of our neighbors.
