Happy National Pets for Veterans Day. 🐾

Two groups that get overlooked, one program that brings them together.

Operation Sidekick is our shelter-to-service program. We take rescued pit bull-type dogs and train them as possible service dogs for veterans with PTSD, at no cost to the veteran.

Training takes time, trainers, and vet care. Help us fund it on Saturday, October 31 at the RescueMe 5K at Primal Brewery in Belmont. Run, walk, or sleep in. Every registration supports Operation Sidekick.

APBF in a nutshell. This is what’s it’s all about so why not just say so on our official 2026 RescueMe 5k race shirts?

Special thanks to our wonderful friend René Fielder for designing the shirts this year. If you think this is cute, it’s not even remotely representative of her talents! Swipe to see one of her beautiful oil on canvas paintings of her pup Roscoe 🥹 Be sure to stop by her page, give her a follow, and support a local artist with meaningful holiday gifts this year for all of your dog-loving friends and fam!

If you haven’t registered for our biggest event of the year yet, you can do so at RescueMe5k.com. You won’t want to miss this one!
