We specialize in the breeding of Great Pyrenees Mountain dogs and AKC registered Miniature Dachshunds, as live stock guardians and/or pets.

We get SO MANY butterflies around the house.

I always wondered why as we don't plant anything specific. Well fun fact 😁 butterflies love dog p**p, turns out, we seem to have an excess of that 😳💩 that may be why we get so many 🦋

This is especially interesting because I have neighbors planting butterfly friendly flowers with no butterflies, maybe I have a good product here 🙃

GROOMING
Excuse my dirty porch while we have this very important conversation about GROOMING!!!!!

I can't stress just how important it is to keep these guys groomed and clean especially during summer months.

Remember Pyrs are double coated and SHOULD NOT be shaved.

I like to focus on trimming the back legs/tail, front legs, belly and chest.

These areas specifically get really matted during shedding season as all the loose hairs gets stuck.

Half an hour to an hour of grooming PER weekend can make a huge difference in getting rid of all that dead hair and keeping your friends cool, comfortable and clean.

That is Appa and Luna getting brushed and trimmed!

I'd like to add that I do not like the de-shedding brushes, because it pulls the hairs, I like to use a rake brush. Or metal detangling comb.
