Vixen the protection and obedience board and train went home over the weekend and we couldn’t be more proud of her progress. She got to do things from going to breweries to bitework almost every night and was the best girl everytime!

Hank from has been coming to us once a week for a day board and train to refresh up on some skills. This past week we worked on heeling with e-collar and long distance downs.

Rip went on a field trip earlier this week to Lowe’s and got some exposure around some of the Halloween decorations! Rip is here for two week board and train which is including obedience and protection and he is absolutely killing it!

Murphy working on adding distance and duration to his sit stay in his lesson last night! His owner has been working hard for the last few weeks to get Murphy to this point in which we are start to raise the criteria. Adding in things like distance and duration which are important things for dogs to be able to do in basic commands for various reasons, like for an emergency, a downtown setting, or even just around the house!

Blue the heeler working on building some confidence in the dark as it can be pretty scary for her. Making scary things a positive experience while also pushing her so we can see progress is essential. For things like this outside of our training sessions it’s imperative that owners keep up the training and do things to be proactive to help their dog get over whatever they may be fearful of. Blues owners are doing a great job at this🥳

Working on basic positioning in a focused heel with Abram who is actively training for protection sports which requires a high level of obedience alongside bitework. Learning to work together as a team and having a solid foundation is essential for working towards such advanced behaviors!
