Spent our Saturday at Stoney Ridge Stables getting some miles in before the next trip down to WEC!

⭐️ Quinn & Legacy’s Traveler started the day off with Champion in the .75 jumper and 2nd in the classic! This was their last show with us before their move out of state and we are all going to miss them soooo much! It’s been so fun to watch Quinn grow up and develop in her riding. I’m very proud of the little horse woman she’s becoming 🫶🏻

⭐️ Alyssa & Raise the Rent did their first ever trips over fences. Bucket was a good boy in the atmosphere and got a 2nd in one of his trips in the xrails! He’s jumped exactly 1 time at home 😂 but is now qualified for his journey down to Aiken later this year and ready to put in the work in the meantime!

Then things got wild… all 4 of our other riders chose to take on the limit division together 😂 I’m going to brag about them in the order they chose to “sacrifice” themselves in the line up:

⭐️ Olivia & Enchanted had great ribbons both over fences and on the flat with real improvement in their pace and track this weekend! Looking forward to the future with this pair!

⭐️ Makenna & El Senor made their return to the show ring for the first time since late 2025. Easton was diagnosed with EPM last fall and we spent the winter and spring treating with multiple medications and working on strength. Safe to say, the little king is back 👑 because he won his trip over fences, the hack, the eq on the flat, and came home Champion.

⭐️ Ruby & Miss Good to Glow had some of their best rounds over fences and some great rides on the flat, with ribbons in both. This is their second show at the 2’ and this team just keeps getting better and better!

⭐️ Taylor & Tracking Gold had their second show together with some good riding over fences and their best flat classes so far, earning ribbons in both. The walk to canters have come a very long way 😍 looking forward to the future with this newer pair!

Everyone did a great job and got to come home with some homework before the next time. Looking forward to a couple weeks working hard at home before the next one! Of course, we had to conclude our horse show day with a trip to El Taco Macho 🍹 🌮

I’m very behind on horse show posting. We had the BEST time at WEC Schooling #1. I’ll save all the fancy jumping pictures and bragging rights for another post, but here’s the behind the scenes post 😍 we are truly lucky to have the best barn crew.

If they weren’t showing in another ring, riders were ringside watching their friends and cheering them on. The horsemanship and camaraderie I saw throughout the show really made me appreciate how lucky we are. There were a lot of laughs and a lot of memories made and we can’t wait to return in August 🤩

Congratulations everyone on a successful weekend at Chagrin Valley Farms!

Saturday, Valentina and our own Tracking Gold (Finn) moved up to the Limit Rider where they had some really nice rounds, nice placings, 3rd in their first medal together, and won the under saddle out of 9! 💜

Sunday, the jumpers took a clean sweep 🧹

Emily and Dark Lady had their first show back since July and were Champion in the 2’9 Training Jumper! 🏎️ 💨

Quinn and Legacy’s Traveller also had their first show back since July and took Champion in the 2’ Jumper with some great confident rides! 🏆

Megan and Toe Tappin’ Luke attended their first horse show together and Louie looked like an old pro! He was Reserve Champion in the 2’ Jumper with a bright future ahead! 🐎 -> 🦄

Great weekend with an awesome group 😍

Saturday:
Olivia and Enchanted (owned by Chris 😉) were reserve champion in the Suitable Hunter 2-2’3. This was their first show together and Heidi’s first show ever and we could not have been more proud!

Michelle & Miss Good to Glow were champion in the walk/trot groundpoles with some very polished looking rounds! This was their first show together also and Michelle’s first show ever!

Ruby & Miss Good to Glow finished out the day in the walk/trot crossrails. They had the largest division of the show I think and managed good ribbons in all their classes! This was also Ruby’s first show! We think Lizzo is worth her weight in gold and then some 🫶🏻

Sunday, Makenna & El Senor had great rides for the 2’6 derby, taking nearly all the high options and earning themselves a second place.. and can’t forget that they got to do a super fun victory gallop 🏇

The weather was warm, the company was great, and the display of horsemanship and sportsmanship was 10/10 🫶🏻💜 as always, thanks everyone for your help and thank you Makenna Sladky (and Megan!) for making sure we always get the memories documented 📸

Thank you Lake County 4h for having me out today for your jumping clinic! All the kids and horses were wonderful. Looking forward to the dressage clinics tomorrow! 🫶🏻

We had a great weekend at Chagrin Valley Farms! Thank you for hosting another wonderful show even though we had to experience all 4 seasons in a matter of 72 hours 😂

Saturday kicked off with Valentina and Tracking Gold having their best rounds ever in the Hopeful Hunters earning them great ribbons!

We spent a lot of time bouncing between the Hunter ring and Jumperland.

Up in the jumper ring next, Quinn and Legacy’s Traveler took home Champion in the 2’3-2’6” Beginner Jumpers and ended up Series Reserve for the division!

Following strongly, Mikaela and In Your Dreams and Emily and Dark Lady entered the 2’6 Novice Child/Adult Jumpers and ended up Champion and Reserve! Emily also tried her first class in the 2’9 Training Jumpers and ended up 2nd with a couple time faults! Mikaela won the 2’6 Jumper Classic on In Your Dreams as well!

Quinn and Legacy’s Traveler had great rounds in the Novice Hunter division with really consistent pace and a well thought out ride in the challenging weather!

Lastly for Saturday, Makenna and Gold Bullion had great rounds and a nice under saddle for the Low Adults. They finished 8th out of 13 in their Low Child/Adult Classic after only getting to ride him twice before the show since her main guy was out for the weekend.

Sunday was a much quieter day due to graduations (congratulations Emily!!!) so we enjoyed the sunshine and a more relaxed pace to the day.

Bellamy had great rounds in the 2’3 Baby Jumpers, working on having confident outings.

Mikaela and In Your Dreams were Champion in the 2’6” for back to back days! Makenna decided to show Gold Bullion in the 2’6 jumpers as well and had 3 great rounds and ultimately finished 6th out of 12 in the 2’6 jumper classic. Gold Bullion has been to exactly 3 horse shows now and he just keeps improving and takes it all in stride. Truly the best baby horse. Thanks Makenna for giving him such a positive experience in multiple rings this weekend!

Congratulations to everyone for a great official start to the show season! Looking forward to the next outing at CVF for opening weekend! 🥳

We tried to channel spring today with our Barn Brunch in the house… meanwhile the ponies were outside enjoying the winter wonderland ❄️
