Unleash The Peace Balanced Dog Training with over a decade of experience training all breeds and all challenges . I work with all breeds, ages, and issues.

I work diligently to teach both the dog and human a humane and effective way to communicate, using tools (slip lead, prong collar and remote collars), body language, praise, and reinforcement for good behavior. I am passionate about helping those humans who are willing to make a lifestyle change for themselves and their dog; owners who are committed to helping their dog be the best they can be by creating a calm dynamic between them! In addition, I take a special interest in fearful dogs!

Sweet Lily learned how to turn down her nerves and find some mental calm at our last session. We taught her place so she doesn't need to panic when the doorbell rings or when people are moving about the house. Giving her the ability to find calm on command is a wonderful gift for a fearful pup who is constantly in a state of hyper vigilance. This girl deserves to be able to just be a dog and I'm so grateful her people want to help her to be her best self. ❤️ Keep up the great work, Nina and Jarret. 🙌🏼

Finishing off the week with a walk rehab for Duke and his people. Duke is pully, disconnected and reactive to both dogs and people on walks. You will recall that also has challenges being respectful with his human sister, Abigail.

I believe the walk is the foundation of your relationship with your dog and generally speaking, if your walk sucks, it's likely the relationship is out of balance inside the home as well. 😉 What better way to shift Abigail into a positive position of leadership than getting her and Duke working as a team out in the wild?!

We introduced him to the working walk, connection when out in the world, auto sitting and walking as a unit versus treating his people like ragdolls. These two women, CRUSHED it! The shift was immediate and awesome to watch! They are going to go home to practice before we add another layer! Keep up the great work Raines family 🙌🏼

Little man Oscar came by to introduce some relaxation into his life. He has done AMAZING with his other training, but still has some stranger danger tendencies. Giving Oscar a lower impulse baseline function from, helps him to make better choices all around. It also gives this guy some peace from the nervous voices in his head. He did super! Keep up the great work, Beth and Matt 🙌🏼

Rocky, the foster dog with , learned all about calming his mind at our last session. This guy can get in trouble when his impulsive thoughts control his world. We wanted to give him a way to turn the volume down on those voices so he can be in charge of his actions and do more thinking versus reacting. I was SO proud of him! Allowing me to handle him, give scratches and managing his big feelings like a pro! I am so excited for what implementing time to *meditate* daily, does for Rocky's overall mental state. Operation :calm is in full effect! Keep up the great work, Mimi 🙌🏼

Your feel good Friday is brought to you by these three cutie patooties! 😍 Stuart and Henry (the little human man) may look familiar from training... But you'll notice a new sister, Paisley! This sweet family took all the things they learned with Stu and applied them to ensure they had a smooth transition bringing Paisley into the pack. They've been utilizing place like crazy to manage all three of these dolls and are doing amazing! Henry is the best helper ❤️ Keep up the great work, Mead family 👏🏻

Meet Harley.
He's a 5 year old Aussie who is expecting a new baby this Fall. He is a super sweet boy but his anxiety is next level both on leash and with guests in the home. We all know when we have babies that that means lots of visitors...so we needed to dig in and give this boy the ability to calm down and handle his big feelings around company. We can't have him barking nonstop until the end of time. Additionally, he lives to manage his humans movements, which is adding to his anxiety. We want to show him calm as an alternative to shadowing and being mentally 'on' all day. Harley is a good boy and he exceeded allllll of our expectations at our first session wrapping his head around doing nothing, that is the place command. He's going home to unpack and we will tackle his leash manners next 🙌🏼 Keep up the great work, Henderson crew 👏🏻

On Wednesdays we work on new walks! W***y learned all about calm manners at the doorway and how to walk with purpose at our last session. Walking without pulling and zig zagging makes for a more enjoyable (and safer) outing for both ends of the leash. Additionally, when we give W***y a more connected walk, it allows us to take him more places on account of his awesome new leash manners. Everyone wins! Keep up the great work, Michelle and Jan 🙌🏼

Meet Duke.
He's a 2ish year old Rottie/Husky mix who is having some challenges managing his big feelings. Duke has become impulsive and reactive to both dogs and people, inside and out of the home. He packs confidence in uncertain scenarios and we want to help him to make better choices.

At our first session, we worked on shifting leadership in his home. We want him to defer to his family's guidance versus just being vocal or mouthy. We worked hard on leadership exercises, engagement and slowing down his mind. We introduced him to puppy pushups as well, to give his family some drills to practice his life skills. This boy has some unpacking to do, but he did super at our first session! Keep up the great work Raines crew 🙌🏼

Sweet Lily was introduced to some life skills at our last session. We worked on lots of leadership exercises to help her slow down her panicky mind and look to her family for guidance. We also showed her puppy pushups, so that we can manage the nervous voices in our head while out in the world. The next weeks are going to be spent practicing our new skills and working on building more confidence to do more life! Thankfully, she's got incredibly kind and patient humans who are committed to helping her grow at whatever pace that may be at 🥰 Keep up the great work, Nina and Jarrett 🙌🏼

Enzo got a whole new walk vibe at our last session, that included a MUCH calmer exit from the house as well. 😉 We introduced him to the working walk so that he uses both his body and his mind when he's out in the wild. We also practiced with a baby stroller since we want him to yield to the stroller versus pulling baby sis around like she's a sled 😅 Enzo worked on walking calmly and connecting with his humans and he did outstanding! Keep up the great work, Montijo family 👏🏻

Once Penny learned to walk with canine friends without blowing a gasket, we went over proper dog introductions to ensure a positive experience was had by all. Penny really likes dogs, but has had some unfortunate experiences with dogs out in the wild, so we wanted to allow her to make friends with Shorty on her terms... And they are smitten 😍😅🤣 Having her drive the encounter can rebuild the confidence she lost from the jerky dogs she's met in the world. Keep up the good work, Lamkin family 🙌🏼

New walk, who dis?
Theo learned all about walking like a gentleman on his walks without pulling and connecting with his people at our last session. He also learned about not bulldozing through doorways 😉 He is such a good boy and with good leash manners, can enjoy going on all the adventures with his family 🥰 Keep up the great work, Spezzacatena family 🙌🏼
