Update: Over the next year, we will be moving to a new location on the same property - just getting the salon out of the house and into it's own space to ensure an even quieter, calmer space with a sitting area for parents on a deck out of view of the pets to allow us to complete a groom without the dog getting overly excited. urdy elevated tub for the smaller dogs. Our quiet, calm, home environment is soothing to pets who don't enjoy the loudness and busy-ness of some grooming salons. The space allows for the pet to roam on the floor for breaks when needed, and for play while we wait for pick up after the groom. Water is always available and for clients who give permission to give treats, we have an array of healthy and low calorie options from salmon, beef, turkey, chicken, rabbit, peanut butter and bacon-flavored. All grooms are recorded, from initial in-room pre-work where the groomer looks over the dog and gauges their comfort levels with touch and tools, to the tub, drying, and post-bath work. If the groomer finds anything concerning, photos are taken and the client is alerted of the issue. This included skins, sores, bumps and lumps, fleas and ticks.
