Congratulations to our Level 1 graduates with their new STAR PUPPIES: Dawn (&Chris) with Huckleberry, a 6-month-old Leonberger; Kasey with Blitzen, a 5-month-old mini Labradoodle; Laura with Gidget, a 9-month-old Shih-poo; and Travis with Murphy, a 6-month-old Boston Terrier! What a fun group this was--great job everyone!

Big CONGRATULATIONS to Terri and her 16.5-month-old Standard Poodle, Alakai on completing and graduating from the Level 3 Obedience course, and passing the Community Canine test for the CGCA title. Her classmates, Milan with Shana (pictured)/Zinnia, Golden Retrievers, and Karen with Sadie, a Pointer, already had obtained the CGCA, and just wanted to do the class as a refresher--they were of great assistance as they were able to do demos for me. Great job everyone!

With the predicted weather forecasts for this week, watch your messages for class cancellations. For your safety, please check before coming. If we cancel, we meet at the regularly scheduled time the following week. A week will be added to the end of the schedule to make up for the six week course. Thanks!

The STAR PUPPY class scheduled to start Monday 1/20 at 10am will be postponed due to the weather conditions. New start date: Monday, 1/27 at 10 am. Be warm and stay safe! See you in a week!

Merry Christmas! Happy Tails will be closed starting December 20 and will reopen January 6th. (Any messages left during that time will be returned when we reopen.) Thanks for another successful year of training, and wishing you the best in the new year!

Happy Tails will be closed over the holiday season starting 12/20. We will reopen January 6th. Look who stopped by yesterday to make sure he was signed up for the next STAR PUPPY course--Gunney owned by Lenny and Sharan, a 9 week-old Goldendoodle puppy--all set and ready to go for 2025! (January puppy classes are most likely filled with those who have already scheduled evals.)

SPOTLIGHT ON: Karen and Sadie, a Pointer and service dog, earning the AKC Advanced Trick Dog title (10 new and advanced tricks). Sadie is learning "tricks" that can help her owner-- like taking off mittens, picking up and retrieving items, even flat items like credit cards or postcards, retrieving a kleenex when Karen sneezes, going under chair/walker to be hidden away while at a restaurant, and just for fun, jumping through a hoop--even a service dog needs some fun now and then. Great job team Karen and Sadie!!
