Interested in learning about dog shows, or looking for in-the-ring practice for both you and your dog? Our Spring 2026 classes are designed for dogs preparing for the conformation (breed) ring, helping owners, handlers and their dogs build confidence, skills, and ring-ready presentation. All are welcome!

Classes run for six weeks on Tuesdays at 6:30pm: May 5th through June 9th, 2026

The Waterloo Kennel Club mourns the loss of our President, long-time member and friend, Jon Rosenberg, who passed Tuesday, February 10 after a brief illness.

Jon's Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, February 16, 2026, with Visitation one hour prior, all at Orchard Hill Church of Cedar Falls. Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Waterloo Kennel Club for the purchase of ribbons and rosettes for their annual dog show.

Jon was that rare individual who could do it all. He could fix just about anything even when others tried and failed. Jon and SuzAnne were passionate about dogs and bred them through Von Rose Standard Schnauzers where they even raised a National Champion. Additionally, he served as President of the Waterloo Kennel Club and shared his amazing art skills by creating beautiful pencil drawings that were auctioned off for the Standard Schnauzer Club of America. But Jon also enjoyed plants and seeds and used his creative mind to design gorgeous landscaping. He researched his family genealogy, including SuzAnne's family tree. Jon loved holiday traditions that he'd learned from his parents and fashioned custom holiday decorations for his family every year including this past Christmas despite his failing health.

Above all else, he was a gentle soul who always put others first and treasured his family above all else.
