She studied Animal Science at SUU. She also studied under many behaviorists, veterinarians and trainers. She studied as an apprentice in canine behavior for 10 years. Together, Chino and Leisa have earned multiple AKC, BHCA and International awards and titles with their own dogs as well as dogs Leisa professionally handled for clients around the country. Leisa and Chino have also judged many AKC events such as Hunting Performance Test, Field Trials and show events. Their favorite training influences are Suzanne Clothier, Ian Dunbar, Susan Garrett,
Michael W. Fox and Karen Pryor. Leisa has owned multiple successful dog businesses including pet sitting, AKC Professional All Breed Handler, professional dog grooming, dog training and behavior consulting. All in all, the dogs themselves have been the best teachers.
