Our fourth and final introduction goes to our longest running employee, Leksi!

Leksi is a Senior at Cedar High School and has been our “go-to-gal” at Quichapa for almost 4 years now. She is an avid lacrosse player and is crushing it on her high school team. She comes from a family of 8 and has a dog named Charlie, an adorable and feisty cockapoo. When Leksi isn’t in school or working at the kennel, you can find her playing lacrosse, practicing guitar or going for a run!
Leksi absolutely loves her job and is so grateful for the opportunities that have come from it. Dogs are her favorite animal and she has loved working with and caring for so many different breeds here at the kennel. While working here, she has learned so much more about dogs, dog training, discipline and the joy that comes from working hard. Leksi is a wonderful asset to our team, and we are so grateful to have her!

Our third introduction is a new face to Quichapa Kennels, but a long time friend! (Dani and Kylie have been friends since 5th grade!)

Kylie was born and raised in Utah County, and has always had a passion for animals. She grew up with dogs and cats, and got into horses during High School. That passion eventually led her to attend Utah State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Science and management. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work with a variety of horse trainers and veterinarians, learning valuable knowledge from each one.
Following her degree, her and her husband bought a home and moved down to Cedar City. Working at Quichapa Kennels has been a fun and rewarding job. She loves seeing the training click with each dog and has found a lot of satisfaction in helping them be successful. We are so lucky to have Kylie as a part of our team here at Quichapa!

Better late than never! Next on our list of introductions is the lady behind the scenes:

Dani is a social butterfly who loves music, family and the outdoors. She grew up in Utah County and moved down to Cedar City in 2017 to attend SUU’s Nursing Program, where she graduated with her Bachelors in Nursing and RN License. It was there she met Dallin and the two hit it off, becoming best friends and then getting married the summer of 2018. They have 2 daughters who keep them busier than ever, and happier than ever.
In what spare time she has, Dani loves to ride horses, go fishing, play card games with her family and sing. Although she traded in her stethoscope for an e-collar, she is excited to get back into the nursing field in the future. Working full-time for the kennel and being a full-time mom is a lot of work, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. She’s so grateful for the opportunity she has to raise her family in such a beautiful place and involve them in the business that makes it all possible.

Happy New Year folks!! We figured with new beginnings ahead of us, it was time to do some formal introductions. First up, the main man!

Dallin is an easy-going, outdoor enthusiast with a passion for dogs. By the time he was eight years old, Dallin had saved up enough money to buy his first dog from the Utah county pound, a yellow lab named Judy. He would go on to train all of his childhood personal dogs: Judy, Zuko, Lady and Ally Ann. Some of his fondest memories include exploring the hills of Elk Ridge, Utah with these special dogs. Dallin once had to crawl down a skunk hole to retrieve his English pointer, Zuko. Yes, this happened while the skunk was doing what skunks do best.
During high school, he enjoyed training dogs part-time at a local dog training company. During these three years he was able to gain valuable experience training many dogs of different breeds. This experience sparked his passion for helping others train their furry family members. Since that time, Dallin has dreamed of training dogs full time. In April of 2020, that dream became a reality and Quichapa Kennels was born!
