A little round pen time can do even the best horses a lot of good!
He is scheduled to get castrated Monday. We think things will keep getting better from here :)

INTRODUCING BLUE CHEESE....this little guy wasn't working out at his previous home. So he's here with us for some training and to learn to be a better citizen. He also needs to be castrated. We think that will help him tremendously.

"Brain surgery" (aka castration) is scheduled for Monday.

QUESTION TIME....a few days ago we asked you about your shampooing strategies (diluted v/s concentrate). Now let's talk about another aspect of horse baths! Tell us in the comments which type of person YOU are:

A. Complete one side at a time (wet down, lather, rinse)
B. Do both sides step by step (wet down BOTH sides, lather BOTH sides, then rinse both sides)

The making of DawnStar Stables

Oh where to begin lol, obviously it began with my love of animals and the connection I have with animals, whenever I was younger “and present” animals simply always know how to make me feel better, or needed to go on an adventure to spark up some inspiration. They give me an escape from reality for a little while and motivate me. I wanted to be able to share this with others and knew I wanted to start something where I could actually share it with others. Theres no greater feeling than to be on a trail in the middle of the woods or in the middle of an arena at a show and connecting with your horse step for step reading off of eachother. So nestled in a little valley in catlettsburg a little barn started to grow with popularity amongst the youth and old alike that wanted to learn to ride horses rather it be in a show ring or on a trail up in the mountains. My husband “when not working” is my assistant and is great with the horses and students, we met going on three years now with both of us at the time having careers in industry and together has been growing DawnStar. In the future we look to branch another barn to our other farm in West Virginia to expand our barn to reach other individuals that want to learn how to ride horses and many ways or to assist owners who need a place for their horse to stay for a while. Lord willing we will continue to grow and continue to create an extended family of the horse world!
