Angus & Friends Angus & Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in Castro Valley, CA dedicated to helping feral cats.

Angus & Friends Cat Rescue is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2022. Angus & Friends works collaboratively with other groups to do Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and to find loving homes for as many stray cats and kittens as possible. We are passionate about the cats, and about educating the public about ways to help the cats and kittens that cross their paths with the goal of reducing the numbers

of community cats on the streets. Our organization is dedicated to the memory of Angus, a 15-year-old orange tabby who was found on death's door by people who lived in his neighborhood who assumed he had a home. He didn't, but probably did at one time, because he turned out to be friendly, though very sick. Efforts were made to save him, but he ultimately had to be put down because he was not recovering after a blood transfusion due to flea anemia. Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and kittens as possible to get off the mean streets and place them in new loving, furrever homes.

Hi, I’m Meredith! I was born around July 2023 and was rescued after raising my kittens outdoors. Now that spring is in full swing, all of my babies have blossomed into their forever homes — and I’m still waiting for mine.

I’m looking for a foster or forever home as soon as possible where I can finally feel safe, relaxed, and loved. 💕

Born around June 2025, these playful boys are full of kitten energy, curiosity, and charm. They love to romp around, make new friends, and get along wonderfully with both cats and dogs.

Doc and Jax would love to be adopted together, with another kitten from their foster home, or separately into a home with a friendly feline companion. Wherever they go, they’re sure to fill their new home with laughter, purrs, and endless fun this season! 🌷🐱

The sunny days are nearly here, and Cole is hoping summer brings him a forever home! This handsome little black kitten may be a bit shy at first, but he’s full of charm and slowly letting his sweet personality shine through.

Recently rescued, Cole is settling into his foster home and discovering that people can be pretty great. He enjoys gentle pets—on his own terms—and loves observing the world around him with curious little eyes.

FOSTER OR ADOPT: Sterling is a gorgeous (and big!) Siamese mix, born in approximately March 2018. He's intelligent, lovable, sweet, funny, and an all-around awesome kitty! He loves being around people and would thrive with an adopter who works from home, so he can enjoy companionship throughout the day.

Sterling is happiest as an only cat; we do not know if he has ever been around dogs.
