On this day, we remember the tragedy of September 11th — the lives lost, the heroes who rose up, and the grief that bound our country together. Twenty-four years ago, freedom itself was under attack, and today we are reminded that it still is.

The shocking news of Charlie Kirk’s assassination weighs heavy. Whatever one may think of his politics, he lived boldly in defense of truth and freedom. His passing and movement is a Turning Point, that should catapult us forward to boldly exercise our freedom of speech and to never shy away from speaking the truth.

It’s easy in times like these to feel anger or to retreat into fear. But our faith calls us to something higher. Jesus said, “But I say to you, love your enemies and bless for those who persecute you.” — Matthew 5:44

We are praying for Evergreen High School, 9/11 families that still remember their loved ones, Charlie Kirk's family and friends and praying for those ailed by violence.
