Little dogs love training too!

Muffin is with us to learn a reliable come when called. She would ignore her owner and go on walkabouts if she got loose. She's also learning leash manners and confidence out in the world.

Small dogs often get overlooked when owners think about on and off-leash reliability. But little dogs enjoy off-leash romps, adventure walks and being out with their owners just as much as larger dogs.

Dio (right) struggles with reactivity, both dog and human. His owners have made tremendous progress with is leash reactivity after just a few private lessons.
Now we are conquering the reactivity towards people inside.

The goal- teaching calm excitement and controlling impulsive behavior to create neutrality.

Dio has trust issues. His sister (left) loves everyone but is overly excited with her love. Her excitement triggers Dios insecurity, causing reactive towards company.

🚫STOP USING THE PLACE COMMAND!!

If you want your dog to be calmer you have to teach them how to regulate their emotions.

Commands are helpful, but it leaves the owner having to always ask for the behavior. Teaching a dog how to have self-control gives you long-term reliability and true change in behavior.

Aspen is a high energy dog that's easily excitable by nature. Instead of punishing her for who she is, we are helping her find value in better behavior.

At the Canine Training Co., we don’t suppress fear — we teach dogs how to move through it. Whether it’s strangers, new environments, or unexpected sounds.

Student Bo had a rough start to life. It was causing him to act aggressively towards males that came into the house and uneasy around strangers when out in public.

Fearful, reactive or aggressive dogs thrive when they have clear leadership and guidance.

Student Stella at home after her stay with us here at the Canine Training Co.

Stella's owner contacted us because she was having issues with taking Stella for walks due to her leash pulling. Stella would dart out the front door and wouldn't come back when called. She was also showing some reactive behavior towards unexpected movements and sounds.

The right guidance is usually all it takes to have the relationship you wanted with your dog.

When we first met Archie he was hyper aware of other dogs and would act out towards them. Along with feeling conflicted when interacting with people.

His owner reached out to the Canine Training Co. to help him feel better about being in public.
