🐾 New Class Alert! 🐾
We’re excited to introduce Loose Leash Walking for Puppies — a class dedicated to helping your puppy master calm and focused leash walking!

In this 5-week course, we’ll work on:
✨ Consistent loose leash walking
✨ "Leave it" cues
✨ Body awareness (no more bumping into you!)

This class is for puppies up to 1 year old. The first 4 classes will be held at the center and the final (5th) class will be held "out and about" to implement the skills learned! This class starts June 5 at 7pm and is taught by Meredith! Looking for crate training, potty training, and basic obedience instead? Check out our Puppy Basics and Beyond class!

We’re hosting a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Workshop! 🐶✨

This workshop is open to dogs who have previously attended classes at Jackie’s—not just current students!

We’ll walk through all the skills needed to pass the CGC test, and the official test is included during the workshop.

Everyone, meet Buddy! 🐾

Buddy proudly competed in the Paws For Pancreatic Cancer Dog Show while bravely fighting cancer. He was recently diagnosed with aggressive Mast Cell Cancer, and while his time may be limited, his spirit is anything but. His family wanted to make sure he got one last, joyful adventure—and what better way than a final fun run filled with love and celebration?

Buddy's people said the following:

"Buddy is affectionately known as the "neighborhood dog." He’s famous for sitting like a statue, quietly observing the world as people walk, run, skate, or stroll by (infants in strollers included!). His calm presence has drawn in countless passersby—strangers are often spotted stopping to hug him, and kids riding by on bikes can be heard saying, “I really love that dog!" While his parents once hoped he might become a therapy dog (a dream paused by Covid), they’re proud and grateful that Buddy has still made an impact—bringing comfort, smiles, and a sense of connection to everyone in the neighborhood simply by being his friendly, gentle self."

Let’s give Buddy a massive round of applause and flood the comments with words of encouragement for him and his people as they walk this journey together. ❤️

We have new Puppy Basics and Beyond classes that have been added to the schedule! These classes fill FAST so get your spot while you can!! Current class availability is with Jackie starting early May and then early June. We always recommend training as soon as possible* when getting a new puppy! Our PBB class is for dogs up to 1 year old. This class covers potty training, crate training, obedience, leash walking, building confidence, and so much more!

Are you ready to take your dog to the next obedience level?? Novice intermediate is the class that follows Puppy Basics and Beyond. In this class you will work on distractions, distractions, and more distractions. You will also be working on honing in skills learned in PBB! You will encounter more commands to broaden your dog's vocabulary and skills, and you will participate in group activities such as stays, waits, and recalls! This is such a fun and challenging class for your dog!! This is also the next foundation class for those wanting to attend Therapy Dog Classes or Service Dog class.

A HUGE thank you to everyone that participated in our first ever Paws For Pancreatic Cancer Dog Show!! We raised $3,606 for Pancreatic Cancer Action Network 💜💜💜This Dog Show was a huge success! A very special thank you to Meredith and Madeline Hunt for putting together this show to help raise money and awareness! To our queen Jackie, thank you for letting us use all the equipment and space to host such a special event. Thank you to all of our vendors and volunteers, this show would not have happened without you!! And finally to the participants, you all did absolutely amazing in this show! Thank you so much for being part of this amazing event! We can't wait to have you back for the next one 😍

Only one more week until our Paws for Pancreatic Cancer Dog Show! Here's a sneak peek at the agility course, so you can start preparing for the competition.

The course will feature jumps that vary in height according to the group categories: Small, Medium/Large, and Senior. All other obstacles will remain the same across all divisions.

Without focus there is no listening when there are distractions. We teach focus, we review it, then we master it. Visiting the class was Thanos (GD) doing the recall with young dog Clio (Assiedoodle) who havs to "Stay" on mat. Success!
